So I figured I'd ask how everyone is doing? Since we are all going to celebrate or Bandaversary all this month. What have you all noticed this one month out?
I have to say that I had the most amazing experience yesterday. Back in Feb I went to Florida to take my daughter to Disney. Hubby is in the Army and it just never works out for him to have time off Right before we left I went to the mall to grab a pair of shorts and capris to have for the trip. Rushing and not wanting to try anything on (Because surely I wasn't bigger then an 18) I packed and off I went. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out that the stupid capris didn't fit! I was so mad and upset at myself for once again allowing this to happen. Needless to say that once I had my surgery I put those pants on a chair in my bedroom and I tried them on every week. For some reason last week it escaped me and so no try on. Yesterday afternoon I decided to try again. At this point I have lost 23Lbs sine Feb and with a deep breath they easily went over my butt. And then with and exhale and deep breath again I was able to buttoned them! The scream and tears that followed left me overwhelmed. I went from struggling to pull them up to being able to button them in such a short time. I now know that I'm on the right road and I just couldn't be happier. I hope everyone has an amazing Bandaversary!

WandaO got a reaction from DaBlockzPRbabii in What Can I Start DoingI agree. I spent the first few weeks on getting off of soda and coffee. Once that was under control I moved to fast food. The last thing I worked on was suger. I took baby steps that way when I did have surgery it wasn't a big deal and I didn't go through alot of withdraw simptoms.

WandaO got a reaction from daisychains7 in What Does Full Feel Like To You?I have to say that as time goes by it does get better. You know as someone that is 3 weeks out (the expert that I am ) The only thing that I can say that I had a taste for was a coke. I did cheat and have a sip and let me tell you, the worst feelig ever!!! Not because of the sip but because of the taste! It didn't taste good at all and that's when I was having the same feelings as you. Will I ever be able to have a burger or a coke? Will going out to dinner ever be something I look forward too? IS LIFE EVER GOING TO BE ENJOYABLE AGAIN?!?!?! Then the all time greatest...Did I do the right thing? I have to say that only time will tell. The pain under the boob thing is a little less painful now. People also talk alot about listening to the band/body. Have to say that its true. In the morning I need something warm first to loosen the band up and then I can have the cold protene shake or yogurt. the pain is worse if I start with something cold. I also need to wait a good 30 to 45 minuted
before introducing anything to my stomach in the morning. I think its going to take time for all of us to figure it out.

WandaO got a reaction from azhoselady in What Does Full Feel Like To You?Mmmmm....I've been struggling with eating in general. I'm never hungry and I have never felt full. Its the oddest thing ever. Doc put 5cc in my 10cc band and as of right now I don't even know if i'll ever need a fill. Stuck feeling happened for the first time yesterday. Made tuna fish with 1tbs of light mayo and it was not liquidy enough I guess. It felt horrible!!! The worst feeling ever and so painful. Made one egg this morning and had to force myself to finish it. On Tuesday I went 8 hrs with only two bottles of water, not good. I have felt the pain under my left breast as well, so I wonder if that's supposed to indicate that you are full? Excited to see what everyone else says.

WandaO got a reaction from eyewonder in New To GroupHello everyone! My name is Wanda and I'm new to the group and this site for that matter I was banded on May 2nd so I'm officially one week out! I think I had a really easy post-op experience and haven't had any pain meds since Friday morning. I also never had gas pains that some complain about. Just feeling very fortunate that things went smoothly.
I live in NY and have a 6 year old daughter named Catherine. My husband is a Major in the US Army and we are stationed at the West Point Military Academy for one more year. I'm a stay at home mom that homeschools and so my days are busy teaching my daughter. Which scares me that I won't find the time to exercise the way I should.
Excited for the future and especially excited to share my journey with everyone that started this path at the same. I have alot of faith that this will help me achive my goals. My husband and I have been struggling with infertillity and this is the last thing that I can think to do. Hoping that weight loss will give my body enough of a kick that the unthinkable could happen.
Can't wait to get to know all of you!!! Wanda
