  1. Sorry, I've been MIA for a few weeks. With vacation and all the other madness summer brings me, I've haven't had alot of computer time. Anyway, I wanted to know if anyone still has port site pain? It comes and goes, but it still hurts most days. I have this thing about my house being spotless at all times. So I'm always bending down moping and cleaning base boards. Just wondering if I'm aggrivating it or I never gave it a chance to heal. Some days it real hurts. Hopefully I'm not the only one :/
  2. My c-section wasn't bad. The first day was painful and then I was good to go. I also had good pain medication that allowed me to function. You'll be fine
  3. I'm Tricare as well. Did you not get approval at first? I never really did anything and was approved in less then a week. So confused as to te denial. But happy that your journey is about to begin! Wanda
  4. So glad everyone is doing great!!! Happy to have people to share this journey with.

  6. Someone else I think talked about this awhile ago, They were afraid that their band had slipped. But it was actually a piece of food that had gotten stuck and had never went down and it was basically rotting away in their stomach. She went in and they had to unfill her and then she was good to go after that. Hope that helps.
  7. I ate guacamole at a bbq when I was on the mushy stage. I brought my potato salad and then just made myself tuna salad for myself. Goodluck!
  8. So I figured I'd ask how everyone is doing? Since we are all going to celebrate or Bandaversary all this month. What have you all noticed this one month out? I have to say that I had the most amazing experience yesterday. Back in Feb I went to Florida to take my daughter to Disney. Hubby is in the Army and it just never works out for him to have time off Right before we left I went to the mall to grab a pair of shorts and capris to have for the trip. Rushing and not wanting to try anything on (Because surely I wasn't bigger then an 18) I packed and off I went. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out that the stupid capris didn't fit! I was so mad and upset at myself for once again allowing this to happen. Needless to say that once I had my surgery I put those pants on a chair in my bedroom and I tried them on every week. For some reason last week it escaped me and so no try on. Yesterday afternoon I decided to try again. At this point I have lost 23Lbs sine Feb and with a deep breath they easily went over my butt. And then with and exhale and deep breath again I was able to buttoned them! The scream and tears that followed left me overwhelmed. I went from struggling to pull them up to being able to button them in such a short time. I now know that I'm on the right road and I just couldn't be happier. I hope everyone has an amazing Bandaversary!

  11. I agree. I spent the first few weeks on getting off of soda and coffee. Once that was under control I moved to fast food. The last thing I worked on was suger. I took baby steps that way when I did have surgery it wasn't a big deal and I didn't go through alot of withdraw simptoms.
  12. Are you doing a high protein low carb diet? Most likely the reason. My Dr. wanted me on this kind of diet. I have choosen a balanced diet of all food groups and am still losing weight. It might not be as fast but its what works fo me.
