  4. My surgery is scheduled for 10/31/12!!!! So excited!!!
  5. So happy just got the phone call that my insurance approved the surgery!!!! It took exactly one week from the time it took my doctors office to fax in the paperwork!!!
  6. My mom sews and when I was younger I didn't want to learn, now it is gonna actually come in handy!!! Better late than never!
  7. Lololol!!! Thanx!!! I like to read, surf the net go out, an I absolutely love shopping!!!! But I've put that on hold until I start losing weight. I plan on learning how to sew and get a machine I know that might come in handy with the weight loss!!! What about you, what are your hobbies?
  8. Well once they submit it takes 48 hours just to make a file, at least that's what happened to me. I'm hoping it doesn't take the full time frame because a lot of people on the forum said there's was approved quickly.

  10. Surgeons office just submitted my paperwork to the insurance company!!! So scared of being denied, but I'm trying to stay positive on a quick approval.
  11. Well if at all possible I hope I don't require to have it removed, haven't been banded yet but worried about having multiple surgeries and scarring.
  12. Is it common to have to have your gallbladder removed when having weightloss surgery? Is there a way to avoid having to have it removed after getting banded?

  14. I have honestly been wondering the same thing. I go to my last doctor visit tomorrow and they said they can submit it to the insurance company on Tuesday, hope it doesn't take long for an approval from Aetna!!!
  15. I met with my surgeon yesterday and he wants me to be on a clear liquid diet for a week prior to surgery once my insurance approves it. He specifically said no protein drinks, smoothies, etc. The only things I'm able to have are: water, diet sodas, broths, sugar free jello, Crystal lite, Gatorade, propel water, sugar free popsicles, and coffee, tea. He specified NO PROTEIN SUPPLEMENTS OR DAIRY PRODUCTS!!! anyone else have this strict of a liquid diet? If so how did you get thru it??? How was your energy level??? I'm really nervous about this!

  17. I was wondering on average how fast does the weight come off once banded??? I plan on exercising and wanted to get some realistic expectations to look forward to once banded.
  18. What is the I-band??? Never heard of that.
  19. My primary care doctor keeps trying to convince me to get the sleeve because she had it done, but ultimately I think I'm gonna stick with getting the band because it appears to be the safest route...no permanent altering of your stomach!
