AS FAR AS I KNOW ALL THE SURGEON SAID WAS INSURANCE REQUIRED SIX MONTHS OF NURT. COUNSELING AND TO MEET WITH A DIETICIAN AND THAT WAS ALL WE HAD TO SUBMIT. IM NOT SURE WHAT OTHER TEST THERE ARE? I KNOW MY INSUR DONT REQUIRE A PHYIC TEST OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT. I SHOULD START MY TWO WEEK PREOP DIET BY MONDAY... IM NOT SURE IF THAT CLEARS ANYTHING UP FOR YOU?

Ya my insurance dont pay for nutritionist either! I have to pay 200 before surgery wich is no big deal but ifs kinda stupid cuz my insur. Required me to do six months of nutrition counseling! Lol i thought it was weird also!

Agreed iv been waiting 5 weeks for insurance and the paper wernt even submitted the whole time! And when they finally were it only too a couple hours to get an approval! Chin up thing will start moving along faster now!!

Im drinking the 123 slimfast and i like the strawberry cream!

I c iv only been to one and other than the waiting for a month for nothing lol i love the surgeon! He told me he wouldnt take no for an answer lol!

Then your really close thats awesome! Gaw i had to do like 6 months of nutrician counseling but all in all the time went fast! I hope ur time does too

What step do u have left? Its an amazing feeling of relief but now im nervous lol and so very excited! I hope ur path is narrowing in to the big date!!

Haha ima a juner too lol i start my two week shake diet tomorrow! Which im nervous about cuz i hate slim fast and thats what i gotta drink! Boo but its worth it ill give it my all! Also im always on this sight reading and learning and inspired! Id love a band buddy as well!

Thanks and all i know is the nurse called today and said slim fast for two weeks and only one meal a day!

Awesome ive been working at this for about 9 months but only one dr and allot of insurance required tasks lol

Now im starting to get nervous but i need this so my excitment over ranks everything although im not looking forward to the slim fast diet lol!

So u dont have to take slim fast u can choose other drinks? Or is it up to the surgeon?

Iv been awaiting approval for over a month now so i called my surgeons office today to see whats up. Apparently they didnt submit my case to insurance till 1:30 today! As mad as i was i broke and cried. When i pulled myself together i said oh well whats a couple more weeks right? At 3:43 i got a call saying iv been APPROVED! SO I CRIED SOME MORE LOL!!! tomorrow i start a two week slim fast diet and learn of my surgery date!!! YAY!!!!,

My name is Cristal im about 9 months into my journey and currently awaiting a surgery date upon insurance approval! Im 25 5'6" 285! A couple people i know have the band including my mother! Although i have many health reasons to getting this i cant wait to lose this weight and look healthy! I find myself discouraged with my friends because they all think im gonna b really thin and as they say share cloths! Idk how to tell them i dont want to b that thin i want to b healthy so me and the doc decided about 170 is my goal! Even tho its a little over what i should be. I dont want everyone to think im not trying hard enough when i dont look like what **** expect in the end! Either way i just want to b healthy at any weight! Thoughts? Or words of encouragements?

Iv told everyone of importance and they are all very supportive with my decision!
