  1. how do I find the jb chat room? I see 3 listed, but not ours. I was banded on July 22.
  2. Great to see a place for us "July Butterflys". Was banded on the 22nd and I feel almost 100%. Can't wait for a fill. I am hungry but controlling it well right now. I do have a couple of questions. Does anyone use the livestrong.com to track their food? Is it worth the price, does anyone use any free sites. I would love to be able to just log in and keep track that way. Also, how do I create a new tread? I can't find a link anywhere to do that. Thanks Lori
  3. I agree with so much of what you are all saying. I was banded 4 days ago. I did screw up last night and did a 1 mile walk. Probably not a great idea, especially be myself. I got ringing in my ears and my finger tips went numb.taking it easier today. I am doing good with liquids, gas gets easier each day. I find sitting to be the toughest. I gotta stay off the scales as suggested the sales are showing a 13 lbs loss. Yipee but I hope it doesn't come back when I start stage2 (mushies) Thanks and skinny days ahead to us all!!
  4. I was banded this past tuesday, 8/22. I have lost 10 lbs. I am anxious to start walking an hour a day.
  5. I am not sure how to start a new thread but I could sure use some help. I am 4 days out and I feel great. I have been walking around my yard a lot. My problem is when I sit down I have horrible gas pain. Like a tight tube aound my chest. If I lay down I pass gas no problem. Do I just deal with it and keep sitting in the chair? Thanks. Lori
  6. Nick Glad to hear you are doing so well. I am 3 days out and also feeling pretty good. I find sitting in a recliner makes some gas pain, but I am also so excited for the transformtion. Lori
  7. Bandme08. So how long was it from your banding till your first fill? I am starting to get hungry. I am gonna try some soup later. Because I was done on tuesday am I ready to move to all liquid stage. My scales say -10 lbs since tuesday morning. But no delusions I am sure it won't all fall off. Haha I am glad to have contact with other mainers
  8. I was banded on tuesday so it is great to see how the rest of you are doing. Gas pain is still tough. I get up and walk but get tired quickly. I can't get down protein yet. Just water. Does that sound ok?
  9. Hello all, I am also a patient of Dr. McKee. I was banded on 7-22. 2 days out. The incisions aren't too painful but the gas is pretty uncomfortable. I am walking around the yard. Any advice any of you Mainers would be great. Anxious to get on the scales in a few days.
  10. I am 2 days out right now. Banded 7-22. I am finding that I am most comfortable laying in bed or walking. When I sit in a chair it feels like I have a tight inner-tube around my chest. But I am walking a lot.
  11. I need some support. I just got banded yesterday 7-22, I was told to drink 1/2 gallon of liquid over the day. Can I drink more than 1/4- 1/2 cup at a time? Any feedback for the day would be helpful. Other than that feeling good. Trying to keep up walking around the house.
  12. I am tomorrow, July 22. At 11:45 a.m. Can't wait
  13. how are you feeling? Nervous? I am also getting banded tomorrow. I am excited. This site has been a wonderful thing.
  14. Are you saying that you lost 20 lbs in 1 week? wow
  15. I am new to this discussion board. I spent some time reading things over yesterday and I am very excited to have support. I am scheduled to be banded on Tuesday. Excited and Nervous all at once. Part of me wants to just eat as much as I can for the next few days. Anyone else have the same feelings?
