  1. Pre-op weight 318 Surgery May 15th weighed 298 Weight on Monday July 16th 255 Totally happy!! LOVE going to the gym now.. Go everyday except Sundays. Definitely a life changer.
  2. Who likes Muscle milk?? I am thinking of picking some up but I am so tired of trying to find protein that isn't icky. I'd like to make some protein ice cream too.
  3. Sitting in a movie theater for the first time since surgery (May 15th)... This blows!!! I want some Junior mints! LOL :-)
  4. 4 weeks today and been stalled for a week. I feel ya completely!!!!!! I know everyone says don't think about, keep going but it's HARD to not worry about it!!
  5. Exhale as you get up!! My nurse told me that when I was in for surgery. Totally helps and I still use it since I still have some pain.
  6. Have u tried the Ensure High Protein? They are pretty good. Or Premier protein shakes from Costco.
  7. You're not going crazy. I am 4 weeks postop tomorrow and still feel a bit outta breath at times... But it's definitely improved!! As for the hungry feeling... I personally wasn't hungry for the first week or so but I have heard that while most of that area of stomach that produces gherlin is removed it takes time for the hormone to get outta your system. This surgery doesn't make you not feel hungry ever again... That would be awesome!!!!! Be strong!! It does get better!!!!!
  8. I am almost 4 weeks and still have some numbness. It's normal unfortunately.
  9. Tried it for the first time tonite... Gotta try a different protein powder :-( Anyone had any luck finding the Max Protein powder she suggests??
  10. As anyone tried any of the other PB2 products?? Can u use it like regular PB and put it on toast by mixing it with water?
  11. Oops hit send too early!! Anyways I did pain meds every 4 hrs for over a week. I also was pretty emotional about it.... I was really freakin that I'd made a bad decision. I think it was the meds, pain and the 'issues' I was having - kinda overwhelmed me. I felt very alone. I am happy with it now though. Just had to get over that hump so to speak. :-)
  12. I am 3 weeks post op tomorrow.. I had pain. I haven't had kids so I can't compare it. I am still sore in the spot where my Dr actually removed my stomach. Obviously everyone is different but I couldn't per the first night do they cath'd me twice-no biggie to me. My BP was sky high and my O2 was way low.
  13. I want that!!!!!! :-) too bad I was sleeved 3 weeks ago!! Good luck in that!
  14. First day back at work.... Hurts to sit up in my chair for too long. Gotta suck that up. What really got me to tears is a friend trying to tell me that I can't have gum. WTF!!!!!! Who had the damn surgery???? Who's gone through all the classes and pre op visits???? ME!!!!!! I know what I am allowed to do per my doctor. All she did was sit thru 1 seminar the office puts on to tell people about the procedures that are offered!! Made me so mad!!! I asked her to not tell me what I can and cannot do- that I am sure she was just trying to be thoughtful but I know what I am doing!!!! I came home and cried. :-( Don't know why it upset me so much.
  15. I took 3 weeks. I go back Monday and was sleeved on the 15th.
  16. Yeah it does take time to process..... But think about food poisoning.. That doesn't wait 24 hrs :-P Don't wanna do this again. Abdominal pains and diahrea isn't a good way to spend Sunday... Especially when u have to go back to work on Monday!!
  17. LadyIvy that is exactly what I was hoping for!!!! I am 3 weeks out.
  18. Don't freak. I am sure your tumbly can handle it - it's tough!! Now if you swallowed the whole thing I'd freak.
  19. Found some OceanSpray CranGrape packets like Crystal Light at the grocery store yesterday.... Love it!!!!!!!! They are sugar free like Crystal Light but give me that feeling of drinking juice. Something a little different besides Water and Crystal Light. :-)
  20. And yes I am excited about it!! LOL I had one small small bite of cinnamon coffee cake.... Within 20 mins had a little visit with the potty and now my tumbly's a little unsettled feeling. I am happy cuz I was really hoping something's would upset my stomach after surgery. I feel like its just a little something extra to help me control myself.
  21. Started my mushy phase today... Had a scrambled egg, turkey chili, cod and butternut squash.... And no problems. A little more burpy like I remember after drinking the first few days post op but otherwise ok. I feel crazy cuz I am kinda upset everything set well.... Like I am worried I won't have ANY issue with any food and will blow up again. :-( Ridiculous I know!!
  22. I will be 3 weeks on Tues.. It's about as big as a Tylenol. I am calling the Dr on Monday.. I figure if I take it in the evening then it could sit in my sleeve for a bit since I won't be eating anytime soon at that point. I dunno maybe it would still digest thru too quickly. I just can't stand gritty pudding. :-(
  23. Anyone else not allowed to swallow their ppi whole?? I have to open the capsules and sprinkle to granules in pudding or applesauce to get it down. Seems ridiculous to me since I have been told its ok to swallow Tylenol.
  24. I've tried the Greek yogurt substitute and wasn't a big fan. I'll stick to low/no fat sour cream. :-)
  25. I am starting my mushy/puréed stage this weekend.. Wanna try one thing at a time at first but once I feel comfortable definitely gonna try shelless taco's!
