  1. Okay, I did it! Thy said I have neutral feet- or is it A Neutral stride-and wanted me to have a neutral shoe with a slight 4 mm drop since I'm running and walking both. (I wanted a light, more minimalist style) I ran outside in a few pair and ended up with the saucony contana 2. Super cute! I liked newtons okay too but prefer the slight cushion saucony has. According to their camera I cross my right foot over in front of the left a little and I would t have known to watch for that had I not gone. Good to know. Crossing my fingers that I still love them after tomorrow's AM run and that I figure out these knees. Well that's the update. Here's the shoe. I absolutely love the way they look and feel so far. The true test is a whole run. Can't wait til tomorrow morning. I have to thank fiddle for helping make this possible! You rawk! Know what I DON'T like though? The fancy running socks she sold me. I don't like that super tight band on my arch and hated how they pulled my big toe over into the to others. Not good for the bunion. This here is what's causing all the trouble. It's not "just a bunion", my whole foot is screwy My pic disappeared somehow so here's an X-ray of someone else's foot. That's what mines like.
  2. Getting fitted today. My knees still hurt from last night. Hurt when I walked and ran after a bit too. Butter says its not the shoes, I just run like a noob. Maybe after new shoes ill run better. Who knows, lol. I'm excited but nervous too. I don't know how I'll do, running in front of others in a small room.
  3. Love pink!! Love love love! Not as many slow Songs. Ill add more pink when I get faster. The water spigot today was turned off. Thank you park gods. 0_o
  4. I did it. I survived. It's getting way too hot out there!
  5. I want a treadmill dang it. It's 93 degrees outside ad 61% humidity. I dot run til 8:30 pm but its still super humid. It hasn't been this hot til now and I'm nervous about how this is going to go. W2d2(repeat) tonight NO EXCUSES! What do y'all wear to run? Ps if anyone wants to throw out ideas for slower songs for running I'm ll ears. My playlist was all fast songs an I wanted to go fast. Slower songs = slower Amy. so far I have The lazy song - Bruno mars which I thought was funny cuz. Well. It's a list for working out. Ho hey- the lumineers and some nights by FUN. Need more ideas Also I'm using an ap called itube. Free playlists. It uses videos but it doesn't eat the battery.
  6. Take it easy. Don't think that you have to "run." If you've read the site it says there somewhere that it's a light jogging/walking program Don't be afraid to repeat days over and over til you get it. You can and probably will have bad run days. Dust yourself off and do it again. Research proper running form on YouTube. It's interesting and can keep you from hurtin yourself. My lower back was hurting til I relized it was because I was bending at the waist. Get a heartrate monitor. This one is personal opinion but it makes things so fun! Love seeing calories burned and knowing what heartrate zone I'm in. And how much time has elapsed. I think that's all I got. For now. Can't wait for you to join us!
  7. I've been feeling this way too and I have 42 lbs left to go. Sometimes I wish there was a magic button I could push to turn into the before me, so I could see what a drastic difference it actually IS! Oftentimes I look at myself and think "there's no way you only have 42 lbs left to go." Because it looks like 70 lbs of fat is left. And I have a pretty serious goal of 135 for my 5'4" frame.
  8. I'm at 50% but I still think I'm a slow loser. "/
  9. Oh Amanda, yay!!
  10. Oh I don't have issues with chi running. I believe in it so to speak. I'm going to keep your words in my head though. "It didn't happen overnight". I'll get it. Didn't realize it could take two months. That makes me feel a lot better. . Oh and "baby steps" helps too. It's ok to go slow. Even if people see me.
  11. I think like 40? I dunno for sure because I got them on sale. They have sales on the ttapp site every Tuesday or so. They're a little bit old school but I love the workout. Now. I'm a bit I a pear and have always had a waist in there somewhere , this has helped whittle it away fast though. I'm not saying everyone can get a waist. .
  12. We weren't, but I added you. saw you replied on Amanda's status right after I asked you who you were over there. So. We're supposed to take a day off in between our run days. What does this mean for you? Does this mean no other cardio that day? No exercise at all the next day? Do strength but no other cardio and use c25k as our primary cardio? I wonder of I'm not Tiring myself out. But then I see others burning 600-1000 calories a day. How did you all work this out?
  13. What's your sn on mfp? Oh and high five!!
  14. Laura, go put your new shoes to good use! You want results. You're a badass!!!
  15. It's interesting to me how I just can't let this go! I can't believe how bad I want to be a runner. Today I'm feeling like I need to keep trying and quit whining. I think I am still pushing myself too hard. Or was. Ill probably do this again tomorrow night. I shouldn't have posted right after a bad run. I read that everyone has bad runs. That made me feel a lot better. And my knees don't hurt nearly as bad today as they did last Friday, so I must be getting better. Continue with your regularly scheduled program.
  16. It's a workout DVD. I do the basic workout plus. Its 15 minutes but there's a lotta stuff in that DVD. At 179 lbs, I burn 110 calories doing it. It's cardio and strength in one. Love it. I do a lot of other stuff too, but this one does wonders for my waist but inner an outer thighs.
  17. They're saying its a joke. Too good to be true. Try ttapp. Awesome for the waist! That's me last night. I've been doing ttapp a few weeks now. I love my tiny waist. Just need to work on the rest. Lol. Ignore the funky workout clothes.
  18. I'm glad you weren't totally put off by My pity party. I needed to vent/cry to someone and hubby is asleep. Y'all got to see a little bit of my ugly side. Did y'all ever have days where you just couldn't do it and felt like a turd? I couldn't believe I couldn't finish the run intervals! That didn't even happen on day one! It's because of that cadence thing tho. I'm not sure how I feel about this. So many feelings. Maybe I'm just having a weird night. I'm kinda ticked that it seems like other chubby runners can do this just fine and I'm too stoopit to run right. Lol
