  1. I'm here!! My surgery was June 25th. I am down 87 lbs. Been losing slowly now. I am 5'3 and started at 278. I still want to get to 150 if my body will let me. I have to amp up the exercise.
  2. Lisa I'm right there with you. I'm 7 mo out and have hit a wall! I'm 40 lbs to goal too. I just upped my cals to 1200 from 900. I still do protein shakes as well. I am trying this for a week and see how things go. If no change then I'm just going to do my best and hope that by June (my 1 yr mark) I make my goal.
  3. starting week 3. Kinda scared about jogging for 3min!!
  4. Thanks!! I'm excited. It was my ulimate goal after surgery. The best thing is my surgeon is running it with me!!
  5. Awesome conversations. Thanks everyone for posting. I needed to read this tonight as I have been grazing which is dangerous. Thank you all.
  6. Are you training on the road or treadmill? I have my first 5k March 2nd. Ive been training on the treadmill, but I heard its different running on the road.
  7. Thanks Cheri! It is the white carbs that get me into my addict mode. I turn into a some sugar monster always wanting more!! I'm detoxing then going back to my good carbs. I can not do low/no carb. Too many bad migranes and lethargy. I just let myself fall back into old habits over christmas and it's slowing getting worse. Btw, congrats on pregnancy. Kelley
  8. thanks for the replies. I'm trying really hard today.
  9. I was 6 months out on Dec. 25th, 2012. I have had a very easy road. Unfortunatly I have allowed myself to have the simple carbs again( goldfish, bread, ritz crackers). I'm trying to gain control before I lose control. I started training to run a 5k in march and my Nut said I neede more carbs for the energy. I don't think she meant this kind! Anyway, have you heard of Paleo diet or any other plan that uses low carb? Carbs are allowed in my plan its just that it is triggering old behaviors. Any advice you have is greatly appreciated. How long were you on a PPI if any? Thanks! Kelley
  10. How is everyone doing?? What are you eating now? I was sleeved on June 25th. I'm down 76lbs. I have been losing the same 2lbs for about 3wks now. Gotta get back in my exercise routine now that the holiday stresses are over. Hope everyone has a wonderful new year!!!
  11. amazing progress!!! I was also sleeved on June 25th!! I'm down 76lbs. Running my first 5k March 2nd. The carb monster has returned and I'm trying to overcome this.
  12. I Like your attitude!! My Nut says the same thing( balance). I got myself messed up by following what others were doing. Which was 700 cals, 20 carbs and 70 protein. I have been in a serious stall so I'm going to take a break from MFP and just live and eat like a normal HEALTHY person would do!
  13. I'm interested in everyone's responses to this question. I have become neurotic about my calories. I feel like I'm going back to my old ways of crash dieting. I'm almost 5mo.
  14. Looking Ahead....you look amazing!! I know you had your share of troubles, but 108 lbs???WOW!!! You know we had surgery the same day and I'm down 70lbs. I've been in a serious stall. I'm getting about 900 cals a day. Prob need to increase but I'm scared LOL.Keep up the work and Take those Vitamins!!
  15. you can add me Blueflame97. Thanks!!
  16. Mine was included in the program. The only thing I had trouble with was my psych evual. The therapist the dr uses was out of network. I had to pay full price which to me was a rip-off for a thirty min. session.
  17. Calm down!!! I have the basic also. I had surgery on June 25th. I had to pay 150 copay for my surgeon before my surgery. I didn't have to pay any money up front the day of surgery. I told the hospital billing coordinator they could bill me!! Anyway, it's 150 per day at hospital and this includes meds. My final hospital bill is 300.00 because my surgeon required two night stay. Hope this helps!! Good luck with surgery.
  18. I am so tired of liquids!!! I know I have to do it, but I can't wait until soft foods next week. At least then I will feel like I'm participating in meals with my family. I came home wednesday. I have been lucky to not have any pain. The only thing I have is gas pain when I have my shakes or fluids.
  19. had my surgery yesterday. Everything went great!! Looking forward to my first meal (broth)!!. Hope everyone else is doing great.
  20. surgery went very well. Pain is very minimal. Going home in the morning
