  1. Hi there, Merry Christmas, glad to put a face to the name LOL Hope all is well. Warmest Regards, Ana
  2. Have any of you guys had your first fill yet ?
  3. Tracy, I personally think you should go ahead and meet up with them get it all out of everyones system. The odds are this will be the last time for lord knows how long. That way you won't feel guilty about not doing it and because your son is young it may not creat as many questions as it would later on. If you feel compelled to do it then get it OVER. Ana
  4. Hi Tracy, Thanks for the post, I was banded 4/9 and get my 1st fill this monday. I am very scared. Ana, Chicago
  5. Hey Tekymom, I have had no restriction since my surgery 4/9/07 either. I've lost and gained like 4lbs but Lord knows I've been eating anything and everything. Let me know how your first fill goes. I"m scheduled for my 1st on the 21st. Ana
  6. Hi everyone, I had surgery Monday the 9th and am better but the dog gone port site is kicking my butt. Any suggestions ? Also what liquid medications are best and where can I find them? I need a liquid vitamin that won't make me puke and some tylenol because tyl w/ Codeine is to strong and I don't want to be knocked out all the time.. Thanks
  7. Hi guys, Just found you all, looks like most of you are from the suburbs. I live in the City & am scheduled to be banded on Monday April 9th. Looks like all of you have a Great group here with lots of support. I would love to have the opportunity to participate w/ you guys. I need all the support I can get right now. This one week pre op liquid diet is starting to get to me & it's only the third day.
  8. They gave me a list of ok foods and as long as they are ALL Liquids it looks like I'm ok. You figure if you can drink a homemade smoothie pre op w/ whey you should be okay w/ almost any kind of broth.
  9. Thanks Tracey & Rene, So I get home I'm exhausted & My husband says "I bought chinese is that okay for dinner" I just looked at him & went up to bed. Need less to say he felt horrible I really believe he didn't think at all. So he ran out & bought me some hot & Sour Soup so I can have the liquid. I was eating about 1500 cal a day & now w/ the liquid diet & Protein shakes I think I may be doing like 900 if that. You guys are most likely correct & I'll see about doing an extra shake during the day
  10. Hi everyone, Does anyone have any suggestions to get my energy level up ? It's 5pm I"m still at work & I"m tired as can be. I started my liquid diet on Monday 04/02/07 and have surgery scheduled for 4/9/07 --Not having major issues w/ cravings or anything just really tired- I'm doing the atkins shakes & mixing my own for variety using the pure whey but energy level still VERY low.. Ana :tired
  11. Hi everyone, Tracy, I too made it through my first day of liquids.. I'm okay during the day but find that evenings at home are the worst.. I hope I survive this week... <a href="http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/wcaUIfB/"> <img border="0" src="http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/t/wcaUIfB/weight.png"></a>
  12. All I have had pre op is blood work history and physcial and the swallowing test. does anyone know if they'll do an EKG or anything else ? I"m scheduled for this coming monday 4/9 i'm nervous excited, scared, anxious i can go on & on. As someone said in one of these post. all I can do is Pray on it & let it go.
  13. Hi GR8--We'll have to keep in touch a little closer considering your day is the exact as mine--Have you found any good tasting protein shakes?
  14. Hi everyone, well this is it my last week of EVER over eating.. Need less to say I have had chips (which honestly I don't normally do) Pad Thai (my favorite) and am just now freaking out about going on the clear liquid for 7days prior to surgery- I have purchased my jello, broth soups etc but have discovered that the only high protein shake I really like is the atkins. Does any one have any other suggestions.. Ana = Day3447
  15. Hi everyone, I am scheduled for April 9th & am very nervous. I think I'm more afraid and nervous about the liquid diet portion rather than the surgery itself. HOw did everyone cope w/ having to run a household and have surgery.. :faint:
