  1. I'm day 8 of 21 of pre-op.. I must say that it has gotten better. I don't like the shakes but I manage. The headaches are gone. I'm not as irritable or fatigue. I have a purpose and I know I will make it. So anyone pre-op there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

  3. Mines consist of 4-5 bariatic advantage shakes. Water. I can have a instant oatmeal with the protein powder. In place of shake once a day. I can also add fresh fruit or NSA frozen fruit to the shakes. I have 21 days total. 15 left
  4. I'm on day 4 with Bariatrics Advantage shakes 4-5 a day and water. Today is a rough day . Shakes to sweet. I've got to find a way . I've got to do it for 21 days
  5. I'm 3rd day of pre-op diet. My head feels like a elephant is sitting on it. I know it wiil get better. I won't lie and say it's not tough but being able talk about it and know I'm not alone is so helpful.
  6. I am day 2 of 21 day diet. The headaches are horrible. I hope that it gets better as i progress. I am during the Bariatric Advantage 4- 5 shakes a day and drinking my water. I'm not allowed anything else.
  7. 3 weeks . I start tommorrow
  8. How do you take your pre-op medicine post-op? Do you crush them and mix in water? What about the extended release capsules or tablets?
  9. I am preop as well. The fear of having complications is so strong. I am mentally trying to prepare myself. I know that the way I feel now is not good and I'm definately not healthy. Being able to express my concerns and knowing that I'm not alone is so helpful.

  11. I also have 200+ lbs to lose. I am scheduled for my EGD next week and then will hopefully be able to schedule my surgery. I am ready to have a life and not just trying to make it day by day. I"m so tired of being tired . This site has been very helpful in providing information and cementing the fact that this is a lifestyle change. I have a lot of support from my family. I'm self pay so my greatest fear is complications. I hope that every thing goes good for you and that you get that approval letter soon.

  13. I am preop and also love coffee in the am. i will also drink decaff tea but my question is can we have real lemon juice or is that something that is difficult to tolerate.
  14. Hello I'm so happy to find this thread. I'm hoping for surgery in the fall. From Louisiana . Will be self-pay. I'm just ready to fell better and have a life. I hope for any input. Researching , researching , researching.
  15. I'm from north La. Haven't had surgery yet. Hoping for the fall. Would love input. Anyone had surgery by Dr. Sartor in Monroe or Norwood and Metriman in Shreveport
