I am on my liquid diet before surgery. I ate a grilled chicken salad yesterday and today I ate stir fry broccoli and snow peas. Surgery date 7/20. I just needed to chew and to make things worse I haven't pooped in 5 days!!!

I had my band removed in December and I will have the sleeve on 7/20. I still felt restriction for a while when the band was removed but I don't feel it anymore. I have maintained my weight with the removal but I look forward to kicking this weight loss into high gear! Day 1 of liquids it has not been horrible so far just miss chewing. We will all get through it!
I know how you feel, I brought the Protein shakes with the intention on starting them before I was supposed to but it never happened. I was also going to stop drinking coffee but that didn't happen either. Today is the first day for everything. Good luck to you!
I am with NY Barbaric also, who is your doctor? I am on day 1 of the liquid diet and I was thinking the same thing that I don't know how I am going to drink two of these today. I think I may plan to have one for Breakfast and one for dinner and have broth and Jello in between. Surgery date 7/20!

Today is my first day on liquids. I am not a fan of milk so milk based Protein shakes gross me out but I am dealing with it. I had decaf coffee and then put my Premier Protein shake in the blender with ice and instant decaf coffee. It wasn't terrible just wish I had food :-( The good news is that I am not hungry. I am trying to drink Water but I felt myself getting nauseous so I stopped for a while. Wish me luck!!
I start liquids tomorrow, I am very nervous! I have not stopped drinking coffee yet. I am going to do half and half tomorrow black and see how that goes and by the end of the week switch to black decaf. I have cases of my pre-made Protein shakes ready to be consumed ugh. Surgery 7/20!
I had my surgery 4 weeks ago Friday. I have lost 20 pounds so far. I worry about sitting the wrong way, moving around too much. I think it is a part of the journey.
