    Pureed Beans Ok?

Beans have been my go too food. The are filling even when I measure them out in my 4 oz allotment. They are good for you also. Just remember something that I failed to do a couple of times is still chew chew chew even if it is beans.
  2. Well I get my fist fill this wednesday! I'm excited and ready. I have some questions that I hope y'all can help with. Lately I really have not felt any restriction at all. I still feel full way before the past and still a small amount of food. Is that normal? My second question is what can I expect at the first fill. What should I look for as far as are there signs that it is too tight or signs of not tight enough? I look forward to the answers. This site and all of everyone's input has been very helpful and great. Thanks

    Questions Prior To First Fill

I had my first fill last wednesday. All went well it wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. Got my fill then they check it with X-ray and noticed nothing was passing through. So my Dr. took some out. I have noticed that I am constantly thirsty now. It seems I can't get enough water. All I'm drinking is water and sugar free cool aid. Maybe one cup of coffee this week and of course my protein shakes. Anyone have a suggestion on hydration. Or if this is normal.
  4. I am 14 days post op. So I start mushy food stage today. But had a scare yesterday. Was feeding my one year old some left overs from the night before hamburger helper that he snd my wife had for their dinner. Well I made the mistake and took a bite. Which went on to two bites and three. Again this is a food I'm not to eat yet at all. Well for my first time I felt the food stuck. Of course I panic and end up throwing up some. Now I'm freaking out again seems to be a pattern since surgery that I have messed things up. My first fill is on the 2 nd of may. I hope all is ok. Anyone done this or something similar. What happen if anything. Should I be worried? I feel fine.
  5. I am finding that it is hard for me to get anything down first thing in the morning also. Is that normal ?
  6. I'm still in the mushy food stage post op and I took my wife to red lobster last night. I didn't even drink any of my water. I got a to-go cup of water and told my wife that it was strange not drinking anything at the restaurant. Going to take some getting use too. Even though I don't have the restrictions of the fills yet I'm trying to get into good habits now for when I do.

    First Time Stuck Today!

@judych hang in there. I'm looking at it kinda from this point of view. I have abused myself for years to the point I felt horrible. But it took me years to get as big as I did. It's going to take me awhile to learn better habits and how to eat right. And i inagine it will take me years to get to a healthy weight. Hang in there. It can only get better.

    First Time Stuck Today!

I agree I hope that one day it will be normal or habit for me to eat slow and the right amount. Until then I'm going to work hard to control myself. It scared me today that I messed up the band or something along those lines.

    First Time Stuck Today!

I learned my lesson. Just amazed at how fast I fell back into old routines of eating. I have a lot to learn. Thank you for your reply.
  10. So I'm 5 days post op and I go for my post op appointment this Thursday morning. I'm just wondering is there a trick to finding the port location. I have no clue where he put it. And I have tried to find it and have no idea. If not I will wait until my appointment and find out then.

Thank you for your service. I was a crew chief in USAF. Thought maybe your profile name was your plane. Yeah beer would have been a better topic I agree.

    Drank Too Much.

So I'm 4 days post op and I went a little over board yesterday and drank too much chicken broth to the point that I could tell my stomach was way full. I'm very worried I'm going to mess things up. I fill fine today I'm able to get liquids down no problem but just still worried I messed things up. Anyone else done the same thing. Was everything ok or did it cause problems?

    Banded Yesterday

I was banded on April 4, 2012. My Dr. removed my gallbladder during the sugery, he said that it was very damaged from massive gallbladder attacks. Spent the night in the hospital tonight's my first night home can't really sleep. My sutures hurt at times and the gas is really starting to rumble in my stomach. I tried a protein shake yesterday but was only able to get very little down. Water is about the only thing I can get down right now. Just found this site glad everyone is on here to help.
