Gallbladder Surgery After VSG?
My Surgeon never put me on those meds and now I'm really aggravated about that! Wonder why he didn't??

Gallbladder Surgery After VSG?
Niki, what kind of pain did you have?? I have this pain that feels like a big gas bubble starting in the middle of my stomach which travels to my side and back. Like a cramp. It builds and builds and then stops after about 5 minutes. I had a CT scan in July, two months after surgery and it said mildly extended.

Gallbladder Surgery After VSG?
I think I'm having gallbladder issues. I had my surgery on 5/21/12 and in July I had a CT for other pain on my left side not related to the gallbladder. The scan showed that my gallbladder was mildly distended but mostly within normal size. It is now almost 8 months post-op and I'm having pain under my right rib cage which travels to my side and back. It feels like a big gas bubble and hurts like heck!!! My PCP is out on leave for surgery she had so I can't see her until February 6th. I'm not nauseous but the pain is bad when it happens. Has anyone else had gallbladder surgery after VSG? If so, can you please share your experience. Was it worse? I'm worried too because my surgeon has left and is no longer in the state and I don't know who will do my surgery and wonder if they will even be familiar with the sleeve. Any input will be appreciate! Thank you!

Finally! Sweet Onederland here I am! 95 pounds lost 7 1/2 months! Yippeee ME!
I know how you feel. Seems that 10 pounds before Onederland were never going to come off. I changed up my diet a little. I decided to give my body some carbs every other day and it seem to help!

Oh.. lol Sorry! Yeah I think you are right. You wouldn't need to be in Onederland! My husband is 6'4" and I think being under 200 would be too small even 225 maybe.

Why do you think you will never see Onederland? You will!

I am so blessed today! I finally made it into Onederland! I never would have reached this goal if not for my sleeve. I'm even surprised I made it with my sleeve! I haven't weighed in the 100's for 25 years. So happy and grateful! Here is a pic of my scale at my weigh in this morning. Total lost 95.2 pounds with 48 more to go! 95

Gall Bladder Gone Bad
I wondering if I have a bad gallbladder as well. I have these episodes that feels like a big gas bubble under my right rib cage that just goes around into my back and hurts like crazy! I'm not nauseous at all but the pain is really bad. I've had 6 episodes since surgery but I can't really relate it to any food that I've eaten. I so don't want to have surgery again but I just might have too!

4 days out and having second thoughts
It definitely gets better. Right now is the hardest time. Just keep sipping on water to keep from getting dehydrated. I mixed G2 gatorade in my water and I didn't get dehydrated once. Make sure you walk and sip. The protein shakes will come later if you can't get it all down right now.

Weight loss pounds check in
Hello! Sleeved 5/21/12 and down 93 pounds in 7 months. The sleeve is amazing. Still we have to work at it and I've realized my weight loss has slowed down quite a bit! Just trying to make it to Onederland then 49 pounds to go!

10 months out.
You look absolutely amazing! I'm 7 months out and have lost 92. I wish I could lose as fast as some others but I'm happy with my progress. Just so close to ONEDERLAND I can taste it and I can't wait. So hard to get under that 200 mark.

In 12 hours, I will be at the hospital for surgery!
It will be ok. You will do fine!! I know you are nervous as we all were but it is so worth it. Just go in with a good attitude and let them take care of you. Make sure you do everything the Dr. tells you afterward and you should be fine. The real important thing is to make sure you walk and sip. I sipped on half water and half G2 Gatorade and I never once got dehydrated. God bless!! You are on your way to a new healthy life and it is ALL worth it!!

SO close yet SO far....
I am so ready to be in Onederland! I've been waiting to be under 200 pounds for a lifetime it seems. Actually, I haven't been under 200 for 17 years and that was when I was going to Weight Watchers and had lost 50 pounds which took me a full year to do so and I made it to 194 then had some things in my life happen and gained it all back plus 20 pounds. Then I did this a few more times. I lost 70 only to gain back 90! I pray this is my last attempt to do this and I really believe it is. So far I've lost 88 pounds in 6 1/2 months but my weight loss has slowed down so much. I guess I really expected this to happen. I mean really?? How else could I lose this amount of weight in this amount of time?? NO way except by this wonderful tool I've been given by the grace of God. I mean that! He has blessed me with this gift and I never want to go back. I've come too far and been through to much. I'm 6 pounds away from ONEDERLAND! I will be so happy and feel so blessed when the scale reads 199!!! I know it is going to take awhile for the 6 pounds to come off but I've been doing everything I should except exercising like I should. I started a new job full-time and I'm not use to that. I've been laid off since February and there again God blessed me with this job. I started last week. The only thing is I sit at a desk all day and my upper back is in excruciating pain. I don't have a clue what is causing this!! I'm thinking I've lost muscle mass?? Does anyone know anything about this?

Scared And Nervous
I was also very scared but after reading everything you have been through, I just know you will do fine with this surgery. It does change your life. The first few weeks, months can be hard but it isn't much worse than gallbladder surgery as far as pain goes. The recovery takes awhile but you will be so happy a few months down the road! God bless you. You are a real trooper!

Finally, Onederland!
Congratulations! I was sleeved in May of this year and am still trying to get to 199! I am 210 now and I don't think the scales are going to move ever again.. Some people I know who were sleeved during the same month have lost 100 pounds or more. I guess I'm just a slow loser. I sure hope it picks up.

So Flipping Miserable
I remember feeling that way. I still do sometimes but it definitely gets better. After month 3 or 4 you will learn to love what you are eating. Now is too soon and your body still craves the bad stuff but you will soon be craving the good food if you keep the other out of your body. Believe me, it does get easier! Just keep your eye on the end result!!

How Much Weight Loss?
I'm six months out and I've lost 85 pounds. The first few months the weight comes off really fast then it tapers off. Doesn't come off as well the further out you are. I'mhappy with my loss. I know everyone is different. I have to say I agree with the others here. Fifteen pounds a month is not slow but I see you are only two months out. It will probably slow some the further out you are.
