  1. Did your breasts maintain the shape you had after weight loss? I've been looking into a reduction with a lift, and I dont want to wait until goal (in about a year to year in a half.) I want to start the process maybe a few months after surgery after about 60 to 80 lbs. I want to hear from women that has had lifts/reductions in the recent past, that started their sleeve journey between 250-300 lbs and has lost 80 to 150 pounds. I want to know if you had major sagginess, etc. Do you see yourself needed another lift or are your boobs still in shape? I was reading about breast reduction and the two types of breast tissue, the fattier tissue, which weighs less than the more dense tissue. As I would imagine the fattier breasts would become smaller during the weight loss process than a woman with more dense tissue. But thats just my own theory.
  2. Yep... Im going to call them on Monday but still get ready to go if I dont hear from them or dont reach them. Ridiculousness I tell ya.
  3. How tiny are your friends?? If you lose their weight (I'm guessing 130-140) You wont still be overweight.
  4. For the women who had perky, close to perky breasts naturally or after a deduction especially, did you lose volume as well as go down a size? I'm eyeballing a boob job but not sure if I want to wait until near goal, but still want to have some breast when at goal.
  5. Before I go in, has anyone ever gotten results for something over the phone? I am usually told to come in for results because its against HIPPA* policy, okay I get that, but yet in the past I have either gotten a letter and at least one time been told over the phone. Anywho.. My surgeons assistant was suppose to call me today to let me know if my H Pylori was cleared or not. She reassured me that she would, but I decided to call and see since I hadnt heard. Well, she left for the day the time I called (earlier than her normal leave time.) My surgery is scheduled for the 30th. My PCP new of my H pylori since June, but didnt give me anything to treat it. She made it seem like it wasn't a big deal. She only decided to treat it after I questioned her to make sure everything was right on my 6th and final visit with her earlier this month. Honestly, I think she went to ask someone if it should be treated (she's a resident.) So I give the paper work to my surgeons administrative assistant on the 5th. She calls me days later to tell me that with the positive H pylori she cant put in my paperwork and I have to wait until I took the meds, retest and come back with a negative H.Pylori result. I sent in the sample earlier this week. I called the lab today, the results are there but they wont disclose to me, so I have to wait until Monday or have to go in. So I'm steamed because if I have to push my surgery back, not only will I have to wait until winter session to return to school, but the plans I had for the upcoming week are in limbo which includes my liquid diet (to lose 5 lbs my surgeon NOW tells me I should lose,) and travel plans. Nothing I can do really, but it does suck when you're patient with staff at the hospital and you wait, but realize in cases like this you have to take life by the balls. If it wasn't for the surgeon I would be having surgery at a different hospital.
  6. I bought some nectar by syntax samples the other day. My surgery is on the 30th too (if all goes well, long story.)
  7. Is it similar to the sound the tummy makes when hungry or have gas? Is the sound coming from near the tummy or the throat? Do other WLS cause this?
  8. So this mostly happens when full or near full?
  9. What in the world?? This is troubling. Hopefully a veteran can explain this.
  10. Oh okay. Thanks everyone. I will stick with the fourteen packs, and make chicken stock. Do you know if I can make it in advance and freeze it? I would think so. I don't want to have to be tempted to eat the chicken so I want to make them a few days prior to surgery.
  11. I already know what my doctors requires protein wise, I just was asking a question about chicken broth. I'll ask in the food section.
  12. Speaking of soup.. I was wondering, if I boiled chicken, to make soup, would some of the protein be in the water? Instead of buying unjury? I still think I'm going to buy a few just to try it. Does it REALLY taste like chicken broth?
  13. I want to know how many packs/servings where you able to get down per day for the first week after surgery? I got my sample packs of nectar (14) and I will need to purchase some more protein powder for the pre op three day liquid diet. So what it looks like I will do is buy a large container of a protein. Even if I dont like it post surgery I have to get it down. What I planned on doing was trying all the flavors post op and then buy a larger bulk but I dont know if 14 will hold me plus I dont want to wait until last minute. Also, how long were you on the clear liquids before you moved over to mushies?
  14. You can be a plus model. I was briefly in the plus modeling world. Especially since you have the height. Go for it.
  15. It's not really a fear, but a concern. Since wait loss with the VSG can vary so much I briefly consider a different surgery for bigger losses, but then I remind myself of why I'm not doing the other possible surgeries. I have a large goal, and I don't hear many female VSG'ers in the weight bracket of near 300 getting down to 120-130lbs in a short amount of time if at all. But congrats to everyo.ne else where ever they are in their journey.
  16. Yea, Wheetsins comment made me laugh as well, Lmao. I'm still laughin.
  17. I'm just curious. Please put your starting, and end weight, and how long it took to lose it. Thanks.
  18. I definitely plan on doing what Dooter said and that was drink drink drink before surgery so I wont be dehydrated after.
  19. Oh okay. I noticed that about half of people get their dates prior to sending it to insurance and the other half get it after sending it.
  20. Woot Woot. How soon is your surgery. I am hoping its just as quick. My date is the 30th, will bring the sample on tuesday (a bit early.) Results by thur/fri and if its a go then they will send it in on the 24.. Everything is soooo close.
