Any New Yorkers With Health Plus Insurance?
When I think back, the surgeon gave me a sample letter to give to my doctor so when I was done they would submit it to the insurance company, so yes I need a letter. The letter ensures that the doctor saw you, spoke to you about alternate routes (i.e. diet, exercise, etc.)

Can Someone Tell Me What Is Allowed On Your Liquid Diet?
My surgery is no time soon, but I would like to do a day and work my way up. Besides protein shakes what can you eat/drink? I have seen it vary, and I want more options besides shakes. I am looking for something with no meat. I can do dairy, and cheese. Thanks.

Breast Reconstruction? Need Advice!
I am curious too. I have a large chest, and I have been thinking about what I am going to do with the boobies. When I was lighter three years ago my boobies went down to a 38DDD. My boobies never had that perkiness. Like the other poster said, in order for insurance to cover it, you have to show that it is causing issues. I have heard the same thing for the tummy tuck. Show that it's causing some skin rashes etc. I also heard that insurance may not cover both, but all insurances are different so I do not know how true that is. I do know that I won't have any work done until at goal. No sense in me doing it not at goal, but I will start the process near goal so once I'm there I've already waited the recommended amount of time.

How Long Until Your Self-Image Changed?
I can't wait for my surgery, and I have been smaller. I loved it. I think I will adjust fine. I'm going to lose my mind once I get into straight sizes. When I say lose my mind I think I'll be dressing up just to go to the corner store. Lol. I kind of already do. Hehe.

I Have Clothing To Sell. Mostly Size 14 And 2X.
I'm still pre-op and a size 22/24, lol. I'm 282 now, and at 190 I was a size 14, so it won't be fitting soon. My surgery isn't until the end of July. I'm doing a spring cleaning. I'm giving away some clothes locally, and selling some. I have been selling clothes for awhile now. I regret selling some of those because most were brand new or hard to get again. I didn't think about having surgery until recently. Oh well.

I Have Clothing To Sell. Mostly Size 14 And 2X.
I have a bunch of clothes that vary from size 14-22. Most of my clothes, especially smaller sizes had little wear. I was only a size 14 for a short time. Although I will eventually be a 14 at one point, I don't feel like holding on to them until Chrismas (when I estimate I will be that size.) I have three clothing listings on ebay. Two spring dresses are on ebay, and one size 14 Ashley Stewart Jacket. My bids start as low as $4.00/$5.00. The jeans will start at $10, and I combine shipping if you buy more than one. My clothes are mostly from Torrid and if you are familiar with them, their quality of clothes are very good. I actually will miss Torrid once I get smaller than a size 12. I do have other brands. I have some size 14 skirts and one pair of shorts as well. One of them is the brand Lip Service. It's like a gothic pencil skirt, and I am still debating on selling, because it's so bad a**. I also have a super short skirt from Hot Topic, and it's a size XL. It's best to wear it with leggings. I will soon be posting up a size 1x jean jacket from Torrid as well. http://www.ebay.com/itm/260970990538?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 http://www.ebay.com/itm/260970986171?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 http://www.ebay.com/itm/260970982606?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Contact me if you are interested in the jeans I haven't posted up.

What Causes Stalls Usually?
I usually hear that it just "happens" but does anyone have a scientific reasoning for it? What months do stall usually happen. I have been hearing that after six months there might be some slowing down, but I am sure that might have to do with starting weight/or near goal. So in short if you don't have the scientific answer for people that are one year post when did weight loss slow down for you? What month/weight? What part did exercise play? Did it help weight come off faster or slow it down?

Question For Pre-Op/post: Ever Thought About Chosing A Different Surgery Like The Ds/bypass?
That's my issue with the malabsorption thing that made me choose the sleeve. What I found interesting was that the intestines "heals" itself after about two years, so you stop losing that ability. I don't know if it's 100 percent, but I doubt it because from my understanding although the intestines would start absorbing fats again, its not absorbing all the nutrients still, hence the need to take your vitamins for life. I will google the explanation on that.

I do buy my tops to accommodate for the "girls." I do also wonder what my shape would go to once smaller. I do know that I'll probably still be an apple because my boobies will always be bigger, I believe. It's a big boobie family I have. Some have both butt, and boobie. I don't.

Nope, you did not answer my question, lol. It did make me laugh because you didn't answer it. There is no Torrid where I live so I only buy online. I hate shopping. The lines, the crowd, and with coupon codes its wayyyyy cheaper online than stores, especially Lane you get coupons all the time.

Question For Pre-Op/post: Ever Thought About Chosing A Different Surgery Like The Ds/bypass?
Pre-Op or Undecided: Ever thought about chosing a different surgery? I started out wanting the bypass before research, then once I started the process my mind was set on the sleeve. I recently found myself thinking about the DS. If I were to reroute my intestines, I'd do the DS not just the bypass. My hospital doesn't do it. I like the sleeve because If I'm right, lets say for whatever strange reason it didn't work for me I would be able to do the DS, although I'm pretty confident with the sleeve alone. Post Op: Have you wished you did the bypass, or even currently think about doing the DS?
