  5. Thank You! I will do that. I feel fine about going to Mexico but just need to make the Husband happy and check out these options in the States. I have been researching for 5 yrs until I could self pay. Researching a little longer won't kill me. LOL. Thanks again.
  6. I am looking for anyone who had a VSG with Rodolpho Arreola at Hamot Bariatrics in Erie PA? I contacted this surgeon and he says he does VSG but I am having a hard time finding any VSG patients, I would like to hear about your experience with him. I had been looking into Mexico and had thought I made up my mind but I am just checking my options close to home. Family is giving me a hard time about going to Mexico. I know I am going to pay more here in the states but my husband feels more secure with this decision. Thanks .

  8. I am pre-op and I enjoy drinking now. I do not drink daily but my husband and I are social and we drink a couple of days a week.(Atleast, once a week.) I think 6 weeks may be too early. That is just my opinion. I will probobly at some point partake again but I know it will not be until I am closer to goal and I will try it at home with hubby before I try it in public just to see how it affects me. As far as keeping the surgery to yourself, just tell anyone that is trying to encourage you to drink that you are on a med that prohibits alcohol for the time being. Just a suggestion. Hope it helps

  16. SHOPPINGBEEMOM, thanks. I am considering Dr. Garcia. I feel I am making the right decision by going to Mexico. Still a little nervous but I would be if I did it in the us too.
  17. I have been researching Dr's in Mexico and nervous about goin out of the country. Any one self pay in the Pennsylvania or Ohio area. Who was your Dr. and how much did you pay? I did contact a surgeons office 2 hours from me in Erie PA. I thought the price was quite high at 15,000. I am not sure he does that many VSG'S as rny and lapband are quite popular in my area. Thanks for your help and time.
