  1. Ooooh, that's a great one! I've copied it onto a post-it that will go by my desk. Thanks for sharing! Happy Thursday!
  2. I've noticed that my DH is also eating my portions of meals. It's like he's eating for both of us! He did this when I was pregnant with our boys years ago. I mentioned this with him and he too laughed it off. So frustrating. I don't want to turn into the food police, but something's gotta give. Sheesh.
  3. Yeah, Dooter is right. I love the SF werthers candies.
  4. Oh, I so feel you about the husband gripe. Last night my DH said to me, "wow, I could really go for a big cup." To which I replied, "are you f-ing kidding me?!" he knows that those are my all time favorite. So, I sat in bed and obsessed over a frickin big cup. Who does that? Finally I told him to go to the store. I ate half of one and became so sick. Serves me right. I need to be stronger. Hopefully I won't give in to his foolishness again. Grrrr.
  5. OMG! You look amazing. That's some substantial weight lost in only three months. That's incredible. You are an inspiration.
  6. Congratulations! That is terrific! I can't wait to hear more about your experience! Yay makeover!
  7. Thanks for posting canadianprairiega! I haven't tried oatmeal or salad yet. My diet thus far is still pretty bland. I have egg whites and sausage for breakfast, cheese stick for snack, chili for lunch, Greek yogurt for snack, and some sort of Protein for dinner. It feels like I'm losing slowly and suddenly I have a major sense of urgency to see the scale move. I had my one month post op last week. The doc gave me a goal of 154 within the next five months. Honestly I sat there and giggled in disbelief when he set that goal. He assured me that I could do it, but I can't even picture myself at that weight. It seems so unreal. So, now I'm using MFP and exercising. Hopefully the scale will move. My current stats- presurgery 235, surgery weight 212, current weight 191.
  8. I take mine every morning.
  9. Hi! My doc was adamant that I was losing weight. So much so that he was known for canceling surgeries the day of. I would make an effort to lose something. IMHO it's better to only lose one pound than gain something. I wish you the best of luck!
  10. Hi! I was also sleeved in Fresno. My surgery date was March 12. How are you doing?? Who was your doc?
  11. Hi! Definitely take the time to read LiLee's post. Also, you are so not alone. I was sleeved on 3/12 and I am stalled as well. It happens. I wish I would've measured myself sooner to compare befores and afters. I knew from reading posts that my weight loss would stop, but I still feel discouraged. I know I shouldn't feel that way but I do. I think it's normal to feel a little worried/ preoccupied/ frustrated. We will get through the dreaded stall!
  12. Hi! What about... 1. I'm stalled at week 3. Is this normal? How do I get the scale to move? 2. I'm having problems with vitamins / protein. What's the best product out there? 3. What do I do with flabby skin? What's the best exercise etc.? Hope this is helpful!
