I also returned from Tijunan on Saturday. I felt safe there. I even went to the huge outdoor market that was all hispanic. I didn't see another white person! The only time I felt unsafe was riding in a cab.

I needed to read this. I was sleeved a week ago today. I have been having hunger issues. I am always hungry. I even ate pretzels today which killed me. I can't stop thinking about food. I am sure it is head hunger but it just won't go away.I feel like a failure.

I am with Dr. Garcia. I've had the surgery now!. I shouldn't have been so impatient. I am feeling pretty good except for the pain right under my breasts. Having a hard time sleeping. Trying to walk in 15 minute intervals.

I am in Tujuana. Got here yesterday. Did all the pre op testing yesterday. Well, it is now 3:38pm and I am still waiting to have surgery. OMG! I am going nuts. I am actually getting pissed. I don't understand what the issue is. I had to be here at 10 am. There are 4 of us getting sleeved and I don't think they have even started yet.

I've been on Chantix for a month. I am just having a hard time letting them go. I know for Dr. Garcia he wants patients to stop smoking 2 weeks prior to the surgery.

Does anyone know if Dr. Garcia does a blood nicotine test?

I am getting sleeved on March 27th by Dr. Garcia at the Mi Doctors Hospital. Wondering if anyone else from the board will be there?

I started my 3 week pre op diet today. Its supposed to be 2-3 protein shakes per day and a piece of protein and lettuce salad for supper. I've already cheated! I can't stop thinking about food. To make matters worse I also stopped smoking today. I've been on Chantix for about 2 weeks. So now I want to eat and smoke. Any ideas to get food/smoking off my mind?

My fear is that I will get "put under" but not all the way and be able to feel everything the doctor is doing.

My Mom is coming with me. My family isn't very happy but I told them I don't care. I am doing this! I am willing to go alone but my Mom won't let me. I've read many post from people that have went alone. They all said it was fine. I wouldn't be worried. Are you going to be at the MI Doctor Hospital?

I am being sleeved on March 27 also! I am going through Dr Fernando Garcia at the Mi Doctor Hospital in Tijuana. I am not as much nervous as I am excited. I have a feeling this will be a great opportunity for me.

Can anyone tell me what the pre op diet for Dr Garcia is? The paper information I have says 7-14 days and the email I received says 3-4 weeks? Also, do I need to do the laxative part?
