  1. I felt the exact same way! It seemed to subside when I was told I was approved. My visit to sign consents is 7/25. I'm just trying to focus on not gaining weight before that visit.
  2. I was approved by ins on July 3. My appt to sign consents with the surgeon is July 25. The coordinator said the month of August was clear, so I am hoping for an August date! Woohoo!
  3. You are right about that, P! Pity the person or thing that gets in our way when we have made up our mind! Please pray for me and I will do the same for you!
  4. Hey, what's his or her name?
  5. Hey, Phyllis! I didn't have to go to plan B! I was approved by my ins on July 3. I see my surgeon on July 25 to set a surgery date! I'm excited! I had really given up on the ins because I am such an impatient person. But, out of the blue they called at 4 pm on the day before a holiday! It will happen for you too! What day is your birthday!
  6. Anyone know a good AA plastic surgeon?
  7. I just got approved. Next visit with my doctor is July 25. I hope to ha e an Aug surgery date.
  8. I started in February and just got approved on July 3. Next doctor's visit on July 25. I hope to have an early August surgery date. We all wait... But, it seems to be worth it at the end.
  9. Positive vibes and prayer for you! It will work out fine!
  10. I want to wear a flattering swimsuit on the beach. I want to run a half marathon. I want to wear beautiful dresses without worrying that my Spanx are showing. I want to cross my legs effortlessly. I need to make a list of hundred things I want to do when I get to my goal weight!
  11. Great job! Love the pictures! I wish everybody would do that!
  12. My nut told me about a great online program like WW called SparkPeople.com. It's very cool for tracking weight, food, and exercise. And it's free!
  13. I think they are essentially the same, but with different names. Mine is disability insurance that I have through my employer. It will pay my salary for any time off work due to surgery.
  14. I wondered about that too! The form was perforated so I assumed that meant I could give the Doc his side and my employer their side!
  15. Will the new Doc make you start over with the diet?
  16. I think the only thing you can really do to assist in getting approved is to try to do what they recommend. I had no faith that I would be approved but my nut assured me that I would be. She said I didn't gain weight and I did all of the required tests. In her office, she said she had never seen anyone denied who had done those things. Hey, I was approved!
  17. One of my male friends who had gastric bypass and has lost 230 lbs says that he will not date any woman that didn't pay attention to him when he was heavier! I think that's pretty mean!
  18. The cost to practice medicine is cheaper in other countries because their malpractice costs are so much lower. I know that's one reason.
  19. I know how you feel, PD! I was okay as long as I was going through the process, but when things stopped and I had to wait for the doctor and wait for the insurance, it drove me crazy. If I had been turned down, I was going to Mexico. So, I used the time to focus on that process. Then, miraculously, I was approved by the insurer. Probably not a good plan for everybody, but that's what I did!
