Thanks for this post. I was thinking that since I had a c-section that this would be no problem.... I am glad you let me know otherwise. this is why I love this site! My surgery is Monday the 12!
  5. the bariatric advantage shakes are okay but not great. I am not a huge milk fan so I have been mixing them with ice and water in the blender. I also have a shaker cup that I use on the go and they even taste okay then. I have tried the orange cream and the chocolate. My pre-op diet is going okay. I am not gonna lie... I have taken a bite here and there of food but I think all together I have consumed less than 1/2 a cup. I am eating ALOT of sugar free popsicles and jello . Weighed this morning and I am down 11 lbs since starting the preop diet so I am excited about that.
  6. I am having surgery the 12 as well. It is inpatient in Houston texas. Have been on a liquid pre op diet for two weeks. I have been using the bariatric advantage protien shakes I purchased at my doctor office. I think I am going to try the nectar and see how that goes for after surgery!
  7. Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Pookey I have not been to the mentors forum yet but I think I will check it out right now. I am super emotional, anxious and scared about Monday so maybe that will help calm me down. Thanks!
  8. I am glad I read this prior to my surgery. (scheduled this monday march 12). In a way it comforts me and lets me know that if I have issues after the sx.. (which I am sure I will because I have had that "what am I doing to myself" thoughts during pre-op diet) that it will get better and there was a REALLY GOOD reason I had the sx.
  9. Hi everyone! I am a new member to the site and my surgery is scheduled for this Monday March the 12. I am excited but also nervous about the weeks to come. My main goal after the surgery is to get to a healthy weight where I can play with my beautiful 4 year old daughter without getting tired quickly. I started at 261 and I am 5 foot 4 inches tall. I have lost ten lbs during my two week pre-op liquid diet so currently at 251. I am very excited to have found this site before my surgery!!!!!!
