I just had my revision surgery today and had the band on oct.22.2012. So no fill till today. It is uncomfortable but hoping it will get better and I start losing soon

So I am 2. Months out, no fills yet, my port flipped ,so Monday I get to have another surgery to fix it...grrrr

I am cedar park tx rit near Austin , was from Dallas the Irving area and lewiville 5 years ago.

I got my surgery Lapband on oct. 22 2012 and I a very happy I did. Here have been no complications no nausea or pain. Went off pain meds by the 4 day and got back into my life by week two. Which involves running around to fe my ds to school,therphy and swim 3 days a week and laundry,dishese house Work and all meals. I get tired quickly though. Still on cream soups and protein shakes. Sometimes try real food like eyes and yogurt.

Hi,I was on but got lost on here some how, i had lapband oct. 22 2012 and live in cedar park,to right next to Austin. I am trying to meet new friends and have people to chat to about it also.

Am just starting pre op diet for two weeks. What protein shake did you go with? I am in Texas and I am so excited also. I would love a buddie to chat with.

I was banded Monday and the stomach girrgles have been so loud and I can feel them. I finally went 2 on day three and today was the first day my tummy growled from hunger. I am still on jello nd broth till Monday and then cream soups and more options. Not a lot of weightloss yet but hope it will catch up soon. Still have some pain when I walk to much but a heat pad helps

I went to Walmart today walked a little bit but got sore. But doing better today and pain is easing up. On the chicken broth and jello diet.

I had Tylenol also but gave me no relief from pain, now on hydrocodone and take Benadryl because it makes me itch, pain is so much less on the new meds.

I got banded Monday the 22, went great had a hostel hernia repaired. Today has been hard but hope it gets better pain wise. Having chicken broth but half a can at a time and jello. Please let me know what you are going through.

I had the hitial repaired also. Been the most painful today, going pee every 30-1 hr. but the shoulder pain is worst. Been walking and stretching too. Have ice pack on my tummy and heat for shoulder pain. Not hungry much but have had one can of soup last all day and jello too. Hope it gets better soon.

I was not cathrazied. Just drink water and walk helps the gas pain and take your gas stripes. Good luck. It was a great experience. Let you know the pain tomorrow.

I got nervous when they put me in the operating room plus doc said I had a hiatal hernia he fixed. Discomort is not bad just uncomfortable oh and you will be sooo thristy.

Yes I have it monday, I am on the liquid but can still eat some meat and veggies. Bunco was fun but had to restrain from eating the meat portion I had a salad. I win too so good night. How are you?

So I got the preop call Monday the 22 at 12 but have to be there at 9:30 am. I am so happy and nervous, I know this is the best thing for me but still scared. I am prepared food wise though. I am hosting a bunco game tonight and cooking s it will be hard to resist tasting buying have done it so far. I know I will rely on yalls support through the next few weeks and year. Don't hesitate to email me o chat. I have very few friends here in Austin that I can talk to about this. Thanks

I just got the phone call I have surgery on Monday 22, so I am so excited. Any words of wisdom?

Ok like the opti shakes from heb the double chocolate and been eating jello and soup also. Had one slip this weekend and had a bite of something I shouldn't and I hated it, I thought it was weird my mind has been set on that is unhealthy, which is great and the shakes aren't as bad as I though. I got insurance approved just need the doctor and hospital to agree on the same date, one had the 23 another this Tuesday? Grrrrr

So I got approved with insurance, but then the doctor said it is scheduled Tuesday, which can't happen I was told the 23 by thhospital when I did pre-op test. They need to talk but I think my date might move but still on a limited diet and going full liquid next week.

I am that date two just started the pre-op diet this week, been great so far. Going on the big shopping trip tonight for all the shakes and soups and jello.

I started the pre-op on Monday but still need info on what to eat. Doing protein shakes for two meals and the other is a food. I am going to be start thsoup today though.

Ok so I will try injury and see, still waiting on insurance verification but I met all the requrirments so I hope so. I am so happy but nervous about after, I know I can do it but still. It will be nice having people to talk to that are going through it.

I get baned oct.23 and starting the pre op diet, need to buy some powder though. I would love a band buddie as no one here I know that has done it recently. I live in Austin tx but would love a email or on here chatting.

I am still one visit away from my last 6 month weight loss program, hope to get a date soon for sept. I had a question about the soups, like which ones. Broth, or pre op diet and drinks , I am still reading up. I would love to meet up.

Anyone around cedar park? I am really hoping to meet some friends but also get information. I might have to move back to Dallas and find a doctor also. Just want to hear how it is going.
