  1. Hi everyone!!! I just wanted 2 say thank you 2 everyone who answered my questions and helped me out in the beginning weeks of my recovery it was a tough time for me. I'm 6 weeks post op and I'm feeling so much better and i'm starting to feel normal again lol. This site is great and thank you again.
  2. Hi Sabrina 140 ok I was able to drink 1/2 the premier chocolate protein shake last night and the other 1/2 this morning not what I should be doing but it's a start they are not bad a little on the thick side so I put some ice cubes in it and water it down a little. I got them at Costco!
  3. Indymom. I'm having a hard time finding the nature made multi soft gel vitamin. Where did u get urs?
  4. Omg!!! It's horrible and I know at this point protein is very important but they all make me so sick and I know a lot has 2 do with my taste buds and smells being all screwed up but it really sucks I'm having such a hard time even with my liquid intake . I bought the premier protein from Costco and I'm going 2 try one tonight ( fingers crossed) a lot of people on this site recommend that one and also the injury protein as this point I'll try anything because im still not really able 2 eat my doc says its because I'm still really swollen besides the sleeve I had a hernia repair and a lot of scar tissue removed But I will let u know how the protein shake taste. Good luck
  5. I had my surgery feb 8th and im having the same problem with the protein I can not stomach any of them and I bought so many different ones they all make me sick and I actually vomitted a few times which was not pleasant so I am also searching for some type of protein I can handle because right now I'm not even getting close to my protein intake that is needed . And I'm also having a rough time getting in my 64oz of fluid I feel like it still takes me all day to drink a 20oz water bottle. I'm so nervous at this point and do not want to go back in the hospital or screw up my surgery.
  6. Can anyone recommend an acid reducer that is not chewable/ liquid? I've been taking chewable Pepcid since the beginning of my post op 2x a day and now it's stating to make sick. I'm a month out hopefully there is something out there small enough to swallow. Thank you
  7. Hey Everyone and I apologize now if this question grosses anyone out. Today makes a month for me post op and it's been a long struggling battle with liquids/proteins/vitamins pretty much everything. But now I notice I have not been going to the bathroom regular if I'm lucky if it's once a week and that's probably because I get nervous and take M.Of M. To help me. Is this normal? And does anyone have any suggestions?
  8. Thank you all for the advice
  9. When I told him everything was making me sick including smells and I have occasionally vomited from it he basically told me 2 keep pushing the protein in because it's very important for healing and if i didn't I would start losing my hair so I'm so paranoid about that. I spent so much money on so many different proteins and it's the same out come I can NOT tolerate any of them it's horrible. My taste buds and my smells are so off it's crazy. I still can't even get the 64oz of water/ fluid in that he recommends daily. I'm so scared at this point that I even regret my decision on having the sleeve done . My doc is very hardcore it's his way or no way that's what made me look for a site like this so I could speak to people who have been through it already.
  10. I had the sleeve done feb 8 and it's been a rough experience for me. I'm having a really tough time with the protein everyone I tried so far makes me so sick and a few times made me vomit. Now I'm having a tough time with my chewable vitamins the after taste is making me nauseous. I spoke to my doc and he basically told me to suck it up and deal with it. Lol does anyone have any advice? Please!
