  1. That doesn't sound good Mimz. Stay strong. I had an NSV last night whilst shopping at Target. Finally got around to buying smaller underwear. Yay!
  2. NSV last night........had to buy smaller underwear #goodfeeling
  3. Speaking of blood test, did anyone have one at the 6 month post op mark or will it be done at the 12 month mark? I'm curious about my levels. If the surgeon doesn't order them, I might ask the GP on Saturday if she can refer me. Speaking of scales, I love my GP's....I'm 5kg less than what I am at home, so when she records my weight on my file, she'll go by those. I ain't complainin' LOL.
  4. I'm feeling great, thanks Lila. Even my sister asked how I dropped 2.8kg! Considering I've been a bit naughty and eating biscuits and snacking, I'm surprised.
  5. 93.3kg yesterday...down from 96.1kg last week. Can't believe I dropped 2.8kg in a week! I'm in a bit of shock as I think that is my biggest loss post op. Looks like I will be in the 80's by the time I see my surgeon in 3 weeks time. 35kg gone in 5 1/4 months.
  6. I'm still loosing hair 5 months post op . But I have a heap of regrowth hiding underneath.
  7. I went out last week for a Christmas break up with some of the girls from the other office of the hospital and it was $45pp (dinner and a really bad Neil Diamond show). Anywho, I only ordered entree and had a coffee later in the evening. I get an internal envelope today with $20 returned because the other girls didn't think it was fair that I paid the full amount and had only entree. That was really nice of them, but like I said, I wasn't fussed if I had to pay the full amount.
  8. He knows cos he's my GP I think I will go. I'm open to either option.
  9. Yeah I'm assuming his paying. I just feel guilty with how much he's spending and I can only managed a bit of scrambled egg or one slice of toast with a bit of egg.
  10. Uh oh...buffet invite My doctor says that he'd like to organise a pre Christmas Breakfast or a post Christmas breakfast gathering. Options are for pre Christmas: Four Points by Sheraton in Geelong and post Christmas: Langham in Melbourne. Both offer buffet breakfasts: Sheraton: http://deals.fourpoi...aurant_Menu.pdf Langham: http://www.melbarest...menu-270410.pdf I said to the nurse who called about this that really it would be a waste of money for me as Sheraton is $25pp and Langham $40pp. I know he'll be paying (I assume, as he's a bit of a tightarse...as he's a doctor LOL), but seeing as I eat so little, I'm not sure I should go. Your thoughts?
  11. Wow that is low. You been feeling dizzy too? My BP has finally normalised after I don't know how many years. Only been on meds since January. I should 've been on them earlier but I had no symptoms...bad I know.

  13. Just had a slice of MG toast with one scrambled egg and that has filled me up. Just waiting now so I can have my coffee LOL. Good luck Swift Kate!
  14. Wow that looks like a heap of fun! Must add that to my 'to do' list. One of the volcano's (Kilaua ?sp) is spewing lava, first time in a year. Hope that happens when we are there.
  15. I've updated my blog to mark the 5 months post op mark: http://nessalosingit.blogspot.com.au/
  16. I haven't bought a lot of clothes since shrinking but had to buy a new pair of pants for work. The other day I bought jeans from Katies. Although they were $30 on sale, they're comfy. The other day I bought white pants from K-Mart cos I'm doing The Color Run on Sunday. They were only $8. Might get more for summer in maybe a size 16. I'm size 18 at the moment (down from 22/24/26)
  17. I went back to work 10kg down (5 weeks post op) and I had a few strange looks with them trying to figure out what was different. Lila...you can tell. You look great.
  18. Hell no! Epilady'ing my legs is painful enough. There is no way I'd attempt waxing down there myself! LOL.
  19. I've never waxed down there as I'm too embarrassed to go. I know the waxer will be used to seeing every different shape and size, but I just can't bring myself to do it. Anyone else have this issue? How did you get over it? I think it's worse now as the skin on my thighs is much looser than it used to be. I'm going to Hawaii next year, so I want to tidy things up.
  20. Hope everyone is well. Sorry I haven't been on much lately. Nothing exciting happening in my life anyway LOL. Here's my update: Commenced Optifast - Tuesday 12th June 2012 Ceased Optifast - Monday 25th June 2012 Weight on second day of Optifast: 128.1kg Weight on last day of Optifast: 123.5kg Weight on day of surgery (26 June 2012): 123.5kg Current weight (20 November 2012): 97.0kg TOTAL: 31.1kg
  21. Update: Weight on commencement of Optifast: 128.1kg Weight on last day of Optifast: 123.5kg Weight on day of surgery (26 June 2012): 123.5kg Current weight (6 November 2012): 97.8kg TOTAL: 30.3kg
  22. I saw a trichologist on Friday and she reassured me that my hair loss will slow down and things should now start returning back to normal. She had a look at my scalp under the microscope (eeww) and she said everything looked good. I'm doing all the right things with regards to supplements etc. What hair growth I have is very fine, but she said it'll thicken over time. I hope so. It's so thin
  23. 5 incisions here. One small one just below my boobs and 4 along my waistline. Largest one is on my right, which is where the stomach was pulled from. They're all <1.5in in length. See pic: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RMvqMKqB7l4/T_EuMCdFu1I/AAAAAAAADQE/vrXOU0y1z00/s1600/Ports.jpg
  24. I'm still losing but I don't think it seems to be as much as it was. I'm taking 2 lots of supplements. I'm going to see a trichologist next Friday (2 Nov) for an opinion.
