  1. Thanks...it was a piece of cake! The psychologist is going to clear me...yay!!! Little bits
  2. Hello all! I get my psych eval completed today @ 1:30 & I meet with the Pulmonoligist tomorrow @ 1:30. These are my final clearances...whoo hoo! Hopefully, I'll get my date soon. I still have two nutrition classes (April 17th & May). Hopefully, they won't keep me from getting my date! So excited & nervous!!! Little bits
  3. Good luck! My psych eval is tomorrow! Little bits
  4. You're welcome! Little bits
  5. Thanks & you're welcome! Little bits
  6. If they will cover the surgery, I would wait. When you start the 6 month diet, it is my understanding that they go with the first documented weight. I began this process in December. I have two appointments next week, my 5th nutrition class on the 17th & my final class will be in May. It's really not that bad. I used that time to learn as much information as possible & to prepare for my surgery...hope that helps. Good luck! Little bits
  7. Are they good? Thanks for sharing! Oh, good luck & congratulations! Little bits
  8. Actually, I read through my initial paperwork & it said runny grits three or four weeks out. However, my nut definitely said no grits. I guess that explains why people kept saying, "are you sure that grits are not allowed"...lol! Little bits
  9. Hello everyone! I'm @ the end of my 6 month supervised diet stage. I am 5'2" & 214 lbs. I currently take meds for diabetes & hbp. I will finish my final nutrition class in May & I hope to have my surgery in June, when school ends. I thoroughly enjoy this forum, but I am extremely excited about this thread. My concern, like many others, is hair loss. I do not perm my hair; however, I am addicted to coloring it. That's my thing & now I am beginning to wish that I had taken a break before coloring my hair 6-8 weeks ago...such is life. Anyway, now I'm praying that I won't have any issues with my insurance company. Little bits
  10. I haven't been given a date yet. I have two more clearances (scheduled for early April) & two more nutrition classes (April & May). So, hopefully, I can have my surgery done either the 2nd or 3rd week of June. I'm so excited! Little bits
  11. Me too! Little bits
  12. I just called BCBS of DE & they still require the six months... Little bits
  13. Good luck & I hope that you won't have to wait too long!!! If you have gone through the process with your husband, you are probably better prepared than most of us. Little bits
  14. I don't want to lose too much, until my liquid diet stage. I barely qualify; according to my doctor, my weight induced illnesses (hbp & diabetes) are what really qualify me. Meanwhile, I don't understand how that is the case...I get a little angry about that since I weigh 214 lbs @ 5'2". (Sorry...I had to vent for a moment.) So, I'm really trying to maintain & not gain right now. Anyway, the six months have practically flown by...honestly. I was upset at first, but it really wasn't bad. Little bits
  15. Thanks, good to know. Little bits
  16. First & foremost, I can't wait to get off of hbp & diabetes meds. I also can't wait to wear all of the cute little dresses from the Junior's section that I just purchased...lol! Little bits
