Hi everyone, has anyone heard of insurance companies denying lapband because of your bmi being above 50, but will approve gastric?!?! What's the difference? Shouldn't that be the patients choice of which weightloss surgery they want? I'm confused!! Sent from my SCH-I400 using LapBandTalk

About how long does it take the insurance company to approve the lapband surgery? I live in Illinois & have Health Alliance. Its been 3 weeks of waiting already. Once I get the approval I'll be on my way on my new lifestyle journey. Sent from my SCH-I400 using LapBandTalk
