  1. I am 2 weeks post op. I loved these shakes pre op but Do Not like them post op. The reason is pre op I could drink them down quickly, Post op it takes an hour and within 10 minutes they start getting thick and pudding like. Also, they only have 15 grams of protein, I need 80 grams a day. I was drinking them nonstop the first coupe days post op o get to 80 grams They taste good, just too thick and if you add more milk or water to loosen it up, it means even longer drinking time. Hope this helps
  2. Perfect I'm in Portland. Thanx
  3. It has been in the 60's. Probably not as cold as u
  4. It will b hot here soon too. I was in grocery store and I bought A box if Yasso. IVe never seen them before. But for 4 of them they were up towards $5.00! Will definately be going the homemade route on that one too. Any good recipes?

  6. I totally will. I ordered some online the other day and am just waiting patiently for it. Thanx
  7. Today I was going through withdrawal from cooking. I love it. Im 6 days post op and my husband has been cooking for himself and the kids while I crack open my can o' soup. So, I decided to make some homemade soup. It was so delicious. Shiitakes and green onions sautéed in a tiny amount of butter. Add flour and stir and then 2cups low sodium chicken broth and stir til thickened. Add 1 cup evaporated milk. I then liquified it all in the blender. I was awesome! I felt normal in the kitchen. It makes the liquid stage soooo much better to have homemade, healthy, great tasting food. What helps you through your liquid stage?
  8. Barbdoll, do u think u lost as fast as everyone too? I'm 5 days out and really seem to not have too much restriction. No nausea, no gas. Guess just need some reassurance.
  9. I was sleeved on the 13. I'm not doing too bad on the liquids. I don't hate the shakes. What I want to do sooooo bad is chug a huge bottle of ice cold water. The thoughtt is making me salivate. The thing I worry about is people talk about puking and feeling full. I haven't really had that. I'm 5 days out and can totally drink 4oz of water in 15 min. No problem, no pain, want more......What about u?
  10. I'm on my way to the hospital. Excited, nervous, anxious....so many emotions!!

  14. I'm on the 13th. It's weird how I feel like I have so much to do but, I'll only be in the hospital for one night. It's like I'm "nesting" in preparation for a new me.
  15. I've pretty much told anybody who will listen. As far as Facebook goes, no way will I put it on there. Everybody that I have told has a lot of questions but are supported and anxious to see the weight loss transformation.
  16. I'm getting sleeved on the 13th and my husband is staying home to take care of the kids. I needed a ride so my mom will take me. I just want to be alone and relax and sleep but my mom insists on sitting by my bed and reading and cross stitching. I have told her I'm just going to want to sleep anyway and to please just drop me off at the hospital but she won't listen. She's drivin me crazy!!!!
  17. I am so excited for you. Good luck
  18. I am June 13 with dr Patterson in Portland oregon
  19. I gained 10 lbs at my fourth appt. I only list two of them by the 6th appt and ins still approved me. My office said as long as you do all the apts it will be fine. Trg not to stress too much:)
  20. Hi everyone. First time I'm posting. I got my surgery date, June 13, and I'm sooo excited. It's been a long process. I started with the first phone call to Oregon weight loss surgery sept 20,2011. What I'm struggling with is that my phys asst wants me to lose 10 lbs before surg. I have 9 to go and my check up is the 8th! I've had a horrible week...my friend was murdered at my work and I found out my husbands company is transferring us to Arizona. The stress is not helping with weight loss and I will be devastated if they push my surgery out a month. It's not like the insurance company wants it the dr thought ur would be a good goal. I had lost the 10 pounds around month 4 and gained it back month 5and 6. Precisely why I'm getting this surgery!,,! That's all
