  1. It took exactly 4 weeks to get my approval once all the paper work was submitted properly.

  3. OK got my insurance approval!!!! "FINALLY" seams like its been alot longer than 4 weeks.... Anyways just waiting now for the paperwork so i can schedule my date. I feel like a load was lifted off my shoulders...
  4. ok called insurance this morning and was APPROVED as of April 4th. Doctors office just has to wait on paper work. So in all right at 3 weeks after all paper work was submitted.
  5. I have BC/BS I have been waiting 3 weeks friday... im calling today to see whats the hold up.

  8. Ok dumb question.... do I just call the number on my insurance card or is there another number to call that doctors use?
  9. if you dont mind me asking how long was the wait once your doctor submited the paper work?
  10. Houston here nice to met ya.... im done with the 6 month diet,psych eval...etc.. just waiting on Ins company...
  11. BCBS does cover it... I have it but like slim said there are certian criteria you have to meet and some polices have you do a 6 month diet(with a dietian) then psych eval.
  12. Also I took the 6 month supervised diet as a way to adjust and get ready for life after the sleeve... It will be a BIG change to your system... Atleast food intake wise
  13. YES you will have to do the 6 month supervised diet and a psych evel... I too have BCBS of TEXAS... but i got all that behind me just waiting on them to approve or deny.(doc just sent in paper work last week)
  14. Valid fear and like most have stated just stay positive in all aspects of your life. "WE" have to all go through the many stages of WLS... Put to sleep is just one.

  16. OK doc has officially sent off paper work to insurance company.... Now its just a 2-4 week wait time.... Is that a normal time frame? NEWayz... whats 4 more weeks...

  20. Yes thats the fun part (6 month diet) ... I dont know how SC is for insurance but in Texas I had to do a psych eval... aswell NOW that was fun!!! Well good luck on the rest of your journey...

  22. Ok went for my Psych Evaluation this morning.... Ok from what I gather thhey just want to make sure your stable... mentally. I talked to my psychologist for about 35 min. Then took a (basically) True or False test. With 250 questions!!!! I think they only ha about 10 questions they asked 25 different ways. But all in all wasn't that bad at all. Now I just have to wait on the results to be sent back to my Doc.

  24. I have completed my 6 month medical supervised diet. I go for my psych evaluation this Tuesday.... Is there anything i should know going into this? Some been there done that type of info, I just dont want to slow down or mess up my approval process.
