  1. You look amazing! Great job and plenty of hard work. Congrats to you!
  2. I agree...stay on the liquids to give your stomach time to heal.
  3. Congrats on the new home! YEAH!!!
  4. Hey All, thanks for the feedback and support. I called both my PCP and VSG. First, the PCP said, take the BP meds to 1/2. The VSG group didn't call em back until 20min ago. We discussed the BP meds, and they want me to stop them asap. As for what happened this morning...they are thinking low blood sugar. Yesterday in my Quest for Protein I opted for greek 2x protein with 24 carbs. The nurse believes that the increase in my carb count from 40-90 grams is what did it to me. Thanks again!
  5. That was the best feedback anyone could give!
  6. I was on the board reading new post and comment as I do every morning. I was sipping on decaf tea with splenda. All the sudden my head starting pounding, I was trembling, cold sweat, and shallowed breathing. I realized there was something wrong. I got up and walked to my stairs, but I was weak in the knees and afraid to walk the stairs. I crawled them and made it to my bed. At that point I laid down. Then my mouth started watering heavily. I got scared then. I called my mom and slowly walked to the bathroom where I wanted everything to come out of both ends. At this point my mom is asking me to get tot the point of what was wrong. I coudln't focus, just shallowed breathing. She hung up. Then I used the bathroom and everything started coming back to normal. Mom walked in and started freaking out about me being downstairs. I had to calm her down instead of her calming me. She meant well, and I believe she was scared too. Has anyone had this type of experience? It scared the heck out of me.
  7. Good luck to everyone having surgery this week. I'm 1-week post-op and doing good. It's had it's ups and downs over the last week, but you will be happy to cross-over! Prayers are with ya!
  8. Really? NSV already? So I've been stuggling with the Protein powders, but I think I've got that whipped with the Isopure RTD. However, my husband made a comment about my jeans getting baggie last night so I thought tonight I might check my measurements since I hadn't checked them in 2-weeks Here goes. Neck 17 - 16-3/4 Waist 51 - 50 Hips 55 - 47...yeah, I lost 7 inches off my hips! So, with these numbers I decided to see if I could get into my old size 22 100% cotton Levis that I would not get rid of for the last 3 years. YEAH BABY! They fit!!!! With that great feeling I pulled a pair of 18's my sister-in-law gave me. First, I could never get them over my thighs. Not tonight! They are up and although I cannot button them, I was able to get them all the way on! I'm feeling frogy! :-) Oh, and down 8-lbs in 7-days. Woo Hoo!!!
  9. I'm SOOO happy to report, the ISOPURE did it for me! YEAH!!!
  10. Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll try my chances with the ISOPURE Plus....maybe get my hubby to go to GNC with me later. Thanks again!
  11. So, here I am 6-days post-op and I hate (yes that's the only term I can use) the shakes and powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury unflavored powder. I've tried any combination of mixtures with the supposed unflavored powder....NOTHING taste good. I have to force myself to drink it. At this point, I have added 2-cups of skim milk to get the fuilds and the much needed Protein in. I do at least 1-scoop of the Unjury with a 1-cup of stock and then a Protein shake but only 1/2 of one which puts my protein just at 55 grams a day. The downside, the 2-cups of skim milk add carbs to the intake....not so happy with that. Any thoughts or feedback on a better protein supplement?
  12. It's funny, I have been getting in my fluids 64 or more oz a day. What I finally realized yesterday was the air I was getting in because of the manor in which I was drinking. I was drinking like I was pre-op. Today I'm taking it slower, and and sipping to avoid the air/gas which I was taking in. Hopefully the amount of gas will subside.
  13. I'm with Becca, Just Dance 3 and Zumba 2. I love them both.
  14. Ah, BP Meds...interesting. While in the hospital my highest was 199/93 and the lowest 144/82. Yesterday my hubby checked it and it was 88/53...and 3 other times later in the day which provided similar results. Need to call my GP about this, but it won't be until Monday. Any thoughts?
  15. Hey LooserMomma, First, Merry Christmas and I hope things are going well for you since your surgery. Again, I'm hitting the marks on my Fluid, but not the evil nasty Protein. I'm hitting in the 50's, but dear me this stuff taste AWFULL! I can at least put down the chocolate pudding/shake from my doc. I've tried unjury unflavored (yeah, there's an egg white flavor to me). Myoplex Van which leaves a cool whip greasiness on my lips and mouth. At this point, I'm forcing the Unjury in stock and uping the skim milk to 2-cups a day to get the protein.
  16. I want to send a very Merry Christmas to all my fellow sleevers. 2012 is just around the corner. I, for once, will be sticking to my New Year's resoluation thanks to the help of the members on this board and my sleeve. This has been a great place for support and friendship. Thank you all and Merry Christmas and have a wonderful New Year.
  17. My second day was the worst by far. Gas pains drove me over the edge and I finally asked for pain meds. Day 4 now, and feeling somewhat better. Going walking today. Got all the fluids in yesterday, but missed the 60-grams of Protein by 10. I'll try getting it all in today. Mars411 it does get better...I promise.
  18. Here I am, 3-days post op. My voice is getting stronger, but my body is weak. I got in almost 54 grams Protein and 64 oz of fluids. Funny, I can sip like 2oz and I have no problems....any thoughts to that?
  19. Mine was on the 20th too. No sickness but plenty of gas cramping...it was awful. Today I'm more aleart. I did get 64 oz of fluids in more like 52, but I'l shoot for more tomorrow. At one point yesterday I questions why I did this to my self. But, since the gas is subsiding those thoughts have gone out the door.
  20. I'm sleeved and home. 2-days with excellent care and a huge lack of sleep. I'm tracking intake and output and am on a liquid diet for the next 2-4 week. My doctor found something odd within me. My esough muscles were fingered into my stomch, He stated in all the years doing this procedure he had never encounter this. But, he said is was smooth sailing to make the adjustment. I've got a 2-3 oz pouch. My drain was removed and I am able to sip 2oz of fulid at a time now. I will start back on protien shakes and soups tomorrow. The gas pain was the worst next to removing the drain....that hurt even with pain killers. I walked around the entire floor at a fast pace...it felt good. Thank you all for your support. I'll post back in another few days.
  21. Only 12-hours until the "change of life". I'm doing fine. I won't be taking my computer, but I'll check back in with the board once I'm home. I just wrapped my last Christmas gift and my laundry is done. I've got my bag 1/2-packed. I've gone over the list. Oh, and I'm 14-lbs down in two weeks. I will review my documents one last time while enjoying (ha ha) a nice cup of dr approved Soup. Good luck to all and see you on the side in a few short hours.
  22. That's right! No fear and charge forward.
  23. Good luck today. My thoughts are with you on a speedy recovery.
