Question About Restriction
Oh its a totally different when you get to solids. Liquids and soft things slide on through the sleeve. More solid foods stick around longer in the stomach. You're doing fine, just remember to be eating the healthy liquids and soft foods. No ice cream ..etc.

Men: Be Prepared To Buy Lots Of Clothing
For guys out there who may be like me: you buy clothes and wear then for long periods of time. well for those men who just sleeved and for the prospective ones: Start a clothing budget! I'm buying different clothing sizes almost twice a month. I was sleeved in January 2012 and wore a size 46 waist. Today I had to buy size 36!!! And I just fit into the 38s three weeks ago. Remember not to over buy in a particular size because you will only wear them for a short while. Thought I'd share this with the guys out there. Sometimes this isn't something you realize is going to happen and it helps to plan

Protein Shakes; The Devil's Drink Of Choice.
Wow, I never had bad flavored or bad experience shakes. I still drink my Muscle Milk once a day at 5 months post op especially after a workout. Now I'd rotate around the different flavors but I still kinda love them. Muscle Milk and the cans of Pure Protein brand are the ones I ever used. I never got into the whole protein powder thing. Have you tried these brands? The Strawberry Muscle Milk is great!

Sleeve Or Bypass
Hmm we never had a set number of weight loss. Its going to be different for each person. I'm pretty sure the sleeve number is 70-80% loss of your excess weight within 3 years.

Loose Skin- Does It Get Better On It's Own?
I was told it does tone a bit on its own over time. Your gym routine will help the process of keeping it toned up. If it wasn't for my gym workouts and my trainer I'd have an issue with skin just for loosing so much in just 4 months. Keep at it and you'll be fine

Are We All Doing This Too Soon?
My response was in response to your question about there being no long term results for the VSG.

Are We All Doing This Too Soon?
Always remember the Sleeve is only a TOOL. The long term success with any weightloss surgery is up to the person and their habits and lifestyle.

Are We All Doing This Too Soon?
*guts...not guys

Are We All Doing This Too Soon?
The sleeve has actually been around a LONG TIME...in the 80s it was commonly known as stomach stapling. Today the procedure is far less invasive since its laproscopic...plus its logically less intrusive than having your guys re-routed But with any weightloss surgery, its not for everyone if they have doubts.

Oh No! Mcdonalds For Lunch?
its ok to buy foods from fast food places..NOW the healthy items are the ones to buy. There is an iphone app that I have that shows all major US restaurants, their menu, then the nutrition facts of each item. You can never go wrong with anything grilled chicken related (no buns) and an unsweet tea (especially if you're doing no carb like me). I do it all the time. Wendy's chili and KFC grilled chicken are high protein packed fast food items
