  2. Ok, I'm none of the above I'm a phlebotomist Running between rooms for draws has me keeping a water bottle in my cargo scrubs pocket. No food or drinks allowed in the lab makes it a challenge so I load up on proteins during my breaks. I'm a year out and because of my job I do struggle getting in my liquids but I manage.

  18. A year ago today, I was laying in a hospital bed wondering if I made the right decision. I cried... I cried right before they put me under. I cried when it was over. I was so mad at myself for letting it get that far. I was sad and disappointed. I was also so scared. Scared that it wouldn't work. And here I am. A year later. Little ol' me. Wearing a size small. A SMALL!!! Pinch me!!! I must be dreaming!!! Happy one year to me!!!

  20. Yes, this is how it's done. At the high school sporting events, there is a bag check. All food and drinks are discarded unless you return them to your car. And security (off duty LA.PD officers) are there making sure everything runs smoothly. The gates are operated by staff only. Never kids... Welcome to L.A.
  21. Going to my sons football game last night was a bit of an eye opener. We got there early to get a seat and the game lasted a while so we were there several hours. When we got to the gate, there was a sign. NO OUTSIDE food. I had packed some Snacks and now I was told I couldn't take them in. ok, rules are rules. So my husband took my bag back to the car. We go in and are told, NO RE-ENTRY... Jeeze!!! when we get to the snack bar, the menu only consists of hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and canned soda. I order a Water and was told, ”sorry, we usually have gatorade and water, but not tonight, we're sorry.” Not only did I become upset, I felt an anxiety attack coming on. I hadn't had anything since my lunch break earlier that day. This just isn't right. What are our rights in taking in our own food to places like parks with restrictions? I'm going to be dealing with this all football season. Do I need a letter or prescription from my doc???

  23. Milk of magnesia. Just don't plan on going anywhere that day I was do badly constipated I wanted it surgically removed. I know... TMI, but really the pain while on the potty was horrible. But then I had some MOM and I felt so much better. Good luck. Btw, it gets better

  25. I'm six months out and still can't tolerate eggs of any kind. It may pass though. Try again at another time. My doc would have me reintroduce myself to foods weekly. And it helped. once a week I would try chicken and I would get so sick. But I would wait an entire week to try again. Then one day I was fine As for the eggs, today is Sunday so I tried again this morning and still not ready. Good luck!
  26. South Pasadena here
  27. I do get hungry. I eat every two hours. If I don't eat I feel physically sick. However, I eat about 2 - 3 oz. and I'm done. Than 2 hours later, I'm hungry again. So I am constantly sipping water and eating. Was never like this before but hey Im just going with it. I carry protein bars with me so when I'm out and about I don't turn into the dragon lady
  28. I'm the same as Lissa. I can only have a few cubes of watermelon. But eat them as a snack. But it's my go to snack when I'm craving something naughty. Don't know why but it kills my cravings for much worse snacks. I love watermelon. And yes my swelling has gone down considerably. I can eat more than a few bites of food now but no more than a 1/2 cup depending on what it is. But I'm ok with that.
  29. Yup, I suffer from F.L.S. It is so hard to get my head wrapped around my new size. I'm holding to clothes that are too big for me. I have a hard time believing people when they say how ”small” I have gotten. The biggest one, my chair at work is so far from my desk that I have to reach for the keyboard. But I'm used to having it there because there are dents where the wheels were. But that's where I needed it because that's how big I was and needed to fit. Someone asked me why I was so far from the desk. I looked down, scooted in and answered with, oh I have FLS... Fat lady syndrome
  30. I used to LOVE beans!!!! Now... Ugh!!! One taste and up they come. I am almost 4 months out and cannot tolerate beans at all. My doc said it can happen to become intolerant to some foods. I just started eating eggs this week... Yay!!! Eggs used to make me sick and the tummy ache would last forever. Chicken is also new on my list. Do you see a trend??? Protein!!! It gets easier as time goes by. I'm learning that. Maybe I'll never eat beans again. Who knows. But right now, I don't even try. So not worth the vomiting. Good luck
