  1. Blood??? But yes dark and grainy describes it. But this late out? Did I do something? My docs office is closed now and won't be open till Monday? But I guess I'll see if it happens again and I'll leave a message with his answering service. I just hope that was the first and last time.
  2. Ok, maybe this is tmi but I am really concerned and hope you can help. This morning I woke up with the sudden urge to throw up. I got out of bed and ran to the restroom. I threw up what looked like bits of raisins. Small and black in color. Last night I had some water before bed and dinner I had some plain yogurt. I had nothing with color. I feel okay now, but it was ugly and kind of scary. Any thoughts??? BTW... I'm six weeks post op if that helps.
  3. Oh wow!!! Finally someone experiencing the same thing I go through. Its horrible. Im 6 weeks out and I vomit daily. I have an appointment next week. Lets see what they say. I have the exact same feeling. Even the smallest amount comes of about 30 minutes later
  4. Thanks for the responses. Yes, starting over is what I'm trying to do. But its so horrible. Im just so tired of this. As far as infections go, yes I was on antibiotics for two weeks. I just finished them. I had fevers, dehydration, a bladder infection, UTI, a bowel obstruction, and inflamation of intestines. Its just that reading what everyone is eating 6 weeks out makes me a bit jealous and discouraged. Im still vomiting and only on full liquids :'(
  5. I'm about 5 weeks post op almost 6 now. I still can not tolerate much. My new tummy hates mashed potatoes, refried beans, avocado, chicken, tuna, and now even my protein shakes. A sip in and up it comes. Im living off iced tea, strained soup and yogurt and sick of it!!! My nut says some heal faster than others and dont get discouraged but how can I not? Im starting to feel regret. A month and a half later and I think, "will I ever eat again???" I have lost weight, yes. But is it because of the constant vomiting??? Ive already been hospitalized for dehydration because I couldnt keep fluids down. Had several infections, and now just sick and tired of feeling sick and tired. Please help. The constant regret and negative thoughts are taking over.
  6. Shorts!!! I have not worn shorts in years!!!! I may blind people with my super white legs at first but can not wait to wear shorts and a tank. Sooo tired of feeling uncomfortably hot during the summer
  7. So today I get on the scale and realized my weight loss so far is 26 pounds. In one month!!! Can you believe it??? In one month I lossed 26 pounds!!! So out of curiosity I check my BMI. Holy monkeys!!! Im no longer morbidly obese. Yeah, Im still obese but Im no longer "morbid". I hate that word. So my daughter takes me shopping to celebrate, and as Im grabbing all the XL's, since Ive been wearing a 2X, she convinces me to try on a Large... and it went on!!!! It was snug but it went on! OMG!!! I am on my way! Feeling great
  8. Yes, they think it was caused by impaction. But i was taking milk of magnesia and thought it was helping. I guess I was wrong. Doc told me some people are sensitive to abdominal surgery causing the intestine to become more narrow. This makes it difficult for the bowels to move. He said it was nothing I did. Just happens for some people. Good news is that the cat scan showed my new tummy is healing nicely.
  9. I was sleeved on 2/15. I was having horrible constipation issues along with vomiting here and there. On Friday I felt really tired. I had absolutely no energy. Everyone kept telling me that at three weeks out, this was normal. But it got really bad. I started vomiting anything I tried. Protein shakes, Water, Jello. I started getting chills. My husband couldnt take it anymore and insisted I go to the ER. Well... I was admitted. I have obstructed bowel, inflamation of the intestines, a bladder infection, and a urinary tract infection. Sending me home today with antibiotics and back to phase 2 diet. Darn Lesson learned... listen to your body
  10. I think I hit my stall. I was sleeved on Feb 15th. I was losing one pound every day! I was so happy. Until... I get on the scale and I gained one pound. Then another, and another, and 2 more. I am up 4 pounds since Sunday :'( Tomorrow is my 3 week anniversary. Coincidence???
  11. Yes, the premier Proteins are the ones Im drinking now. There the only ones I have found for the high protein content that I can keep down. At 30 grams of protein in only 11oz, its pretty good. But 3 of them is pretty hard. It takes me time to get it down. I told my nut and she said I really need to try to get in the 90 grams. But I feel jealous that my friend only needs 45 per her nut.
  12. Hello So my nut tells me I should be getting in 90 grams of Protein where as my co-workers is telling her 45-60. I am seriously struggling getting all mine in because I am sooo full. I drink 3 shakes a day at 30 grams each and my 64oz Water. I have no room for mushies and I am so sick of the shakes I want to give up. Isopure makes me vomit. Im trying to figure out how to get all this in while my co-worker has only 1 and 1/2 shake a day and is done. BTW, Im almost 3 weeks out. So tell me, what is your protein requirement???
  13. My Dr. also says 4 weeks. But to tell you the truth, Im ok with it. Sometimes the full liquids are too heavy for my sleeve right now. So on my one month anniversary I will celebrate with some mashed potatoes
  14. I love that you shared that with us. Just today I was expressing my fears of solid food with my husband. You see, I am only 2 weeks post op, and in a month, my birthday will be here. My family loves parties and food and insults. I have a few Rons in the mix. I am terrified on how I will react to rude remarks or questions on why Im not eating the way I used to. But you handled it beautifully. Im sorry you felt bad about the ice cream. But you did great! Dont get down on yourself because your story is inspiration to me. I now know that I need to find someone at the dinner table during family gatherings to pass my food to and switch glasses with
  15. Slushie, huh??? Thanks, I'll give it a try
  16. Im currently on clear liquids and protein shakes. I am honestly struggling getting all this in. Next week, I start full liquids. I am excited but also afraid I wont get in my protein. If I am already struggling now, how will I do this? I am constantly full. If I over drink even a sip, I get sick. What if the smallest amount of apple sauce causes me to not have room for my protein shake??? I am seriously afraid to move on to phase 3. Maybe Im not ready ()
  17. I was sleeved on the 15th... my Dr has me on phase 2, clear liquids and protein shakes, until the 14th day. Than I can start phase 3, full liquids... yay!!! Almost there
  18. also drinking my protein shakes room temp.
  19. I am exactly one week post-op today!!! Yay!!! But I am still having that feeling. It makes it very hard to keep things down and also its hard to encourage myself to drink because of the pain. But warm liquids are definitely better. Sipping some warm herbal tea has helped. Good luck. I hope you feel better
