Just curious!

My port is directly under my left breast over to the right away from my ribs. I thought this was where the dr repaired my hernia! I thought it would be more near my belly button?

I have my 1st fill on 3/30. Im down 33 lbs. My port is located under my left breast (had a hernia repair in the same location) not sure why thats where he decided to put my port.

For full liquids, my dr recommends: sugar free pudding Creamy Soups Grits Mashed pototoes Fruit juices Frozen yogurt or sorbet Protein shakes Hope this helps!

Me too (fill on the 30th)

I had my 1 week post op appt with my dr on friday. Ive lost 20 lbs and started on full liquids. I see him again on march 30th for my 2nd fill. So far so good. Sharon

Well going to see my drs assistant. He usually sees dr lords patients for their 1 week follow up appt. I know ive lost some weight (about 20 r so pounds) Hope to be able to move up to full liquids today Wish me luck folks

Mytimetoshine & mandagay; I guess the old sayin is true. Everyone is different and they,recover differently too. I to experience the only being able to sleep in one position and if I stand or walk too much it begins to hurt worse

my surgery was a week ago today. I am still not 100 percent better. hernia repair site is still very sore. how many of you are in the same boat as me? Sharon

I too had a hernia repair with the lap band. On day 6 of recovery. getting better each day. hunger pains are the worst. Sharon

I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL TO ANN_MARIE. I WAS BANDED ON 3/1/12 AND WITH A HIATAL HERNIA REPAIR. 5 DAYS POST OP AND I STILL FEEL LIKE I WAS HIT BY A SUBMARINE. IT SEEMS LIKE THE MORE WALKING I DO, THE WORSE THE PAIN IN MY RIB CAGE GETS. IT HURTS SO BAD TO GET UP! I HAVE CRIED MYSELF TO sleep ALMOST EVERY NIGHT. LAST NIGHT WAS THE FIRST TIME IVE BEEN ABLE TO SLEEP ON MY SIDE SINCE FEB 29TH. ITS GETTTING BETTER. THE 4 INCISIONS FROM THE LP SURGERY DONT HURT,ITS THE 1 INCH INCISION FROM THE HERNIA REPAIR AND ITS LOCATED AT THE TOP OF MY STOMACH. IT HURTS AND ITCHES AT THE SAME TIME! CRAZY! Had surgery on March 1st with a hiatal hernia repair. 5 days post op and the pain has improved somewhat. Be glad when the pain over. I feel like my stomach is about to fall out when i get up. Been walking as much as the pain allows. Thanks 4 asking

i was banded on 3/3/12 and also had a hiatal hernia repair, i didnt know i had one til the dr came out after surgery and told my husband. the pain is horrible. the 4 incisions from the lp dont hurt, its the 1 inch incision across the top of my stomach that hurts. i feel like a huge elephant is sitting on my chest and arms and shoulders just hurt! i hope it ends soon :/ sharon

How long did you have the hiatal hernia? And what day did you get your surgery done? I didnt know i even had a hiatal hernia? my surgery was march 1st!

I got banded on the 1st of march. dr found that i had a hiatal hernia so he repaired it. the 4 incisions for the lapband surgery dont bother me, it's the 1 inch incision where the hernia was repaired. the pain is awful. it's improved some what. i get the "stuck" feeling alot so im scared to overeat and get sick! im so dang hungry. even after a Protein shake. the pain is bad. i have to sleep in a reclined position, a ton of pillows behind my back. my tummy muscles are so sore even after a 15 min. walk up the street. i hope this gets better. im still bloated, i look pregnant. i feel so helpless :/ sharon

I am still recovering from my hiatal hernia. The incisions from the lap band surgery do not bother me, what bothers me is the 1 inch incision from the hernia repair. I'm crushing my meds and I'm on a clear liquid diet til Friday when I see my doctor. I am still very sore at the top of my stomach near my esophagus. The pain is more tolerable today then yesterday.
