Help I have gained 5 pounds while on vacation! Does anyone else have this problem? Also I have no restriction after having 1 full so far.

Banded since 3/20/12 goal 65 lbs Lost 21 lbs On a scale of 1 - 10 I would have to say about an 8 so far

My first fill went awesome and im down 20 pounds! I got banded 3/20/2012 and cant wait till im down another 20:)

Hey talk to your surgeon maybe you need to have it looked at. Its better to be safe than sorry.

Hello im at 4 weeks post op and am still having a sore feeling on the left side of my stomach especially when im constipated. Is this normal for over a month post op? On the up side I have lost 13 pounds.

Pain meds are a Beautiful thing! As far as the gas pains sleep with your heating pad! I had those gas pains for 2 weeks post op but walking helps! The pain is only temporary! And you will feel better just hang in there! Nothing worth having is achieved easily!

Hello all im 8 days post op and have lost about 6 lbs. I wanted to ask everyone how much restriction did they have thr first few weeks after surgery.

All I can say is get you a blender and start practicing slow eating now so that you will be used to it post op. Good luck!

Hey there I was banded on 3/20 and my swelling is pretty much gone now. Good luck and hang in there!

Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm going in for my fill on the 16th of april and didnt know what to expect. Your mistake sounds like something I would probably do because I am just ready to loose all of this weight! Good luck on your next fill hopefully it will be a much better experience.

Hey I hate that you had a bad experience with his staff but I thought his staff was very friendly Dr. Wilkenfield is a bit on the quiet side but so far I am happy with him as my sergon. I am 7 days post op and so far so good

Hello all, I'm 5'3" and 191 pounds my friends are all opposed to me getting the lap band because they feel that I am too young at 24 to be getting WLS. I am also a little worried about band slippage or worse erosion! I'm still trying to figure out if the good will out weigh the risks associated with the band. I want to loose the weight and I'm ready to get healthy but I'm just scared about what might happen to me and how loved ones will respond to me getting the Lap band... Please reply with any suggestions or comments. Thank you

Good luck with your lap band! My surgery is also in the next couple of weeks however I'm having trouble sticking to my pre op diet:( do you have any suggestions on how you are staying on track and how you are able to get in the protein needed for your diet?
