  1. Thank you all!! I'm very excited about the next coming months! & @pink pink Dahlia.. You're so right, it's just like a pulled muscle, not too bad.
  2. This is so sad to hear, my prayers are with her family tonight and justice for them to know that hospital cannot let this happem again
  3. Cant wait to see pics in a month!! I was banded yesterday and trust me, the cravins are a mental thing, once you're banded, you won't think about them anymore! Remember to take your meds exactly as scheduled and there'll be minimal to no pain! Good Luck!
  4. It's 12:24 am and I got banded about 10 this morning. I couldn't believe how fast it went by and how little pain I experienced! I have some pain now, but I have hydroodone for that After the surgery, I got x-rayed and everything looked good so I was able to eat a little jello and drink apple juice... Which was amazing because My throat was somewhat sore from the oxygen tube that was in my throat. Overall, easier than I thought!!
  5. Yep, I would be as PISSED! I wouldn't yell at anyone because these are the people you have to deal with through a very difficult time, but i would def tell them
  6. I am at my pre-op appointment and they're giving me ONE week until surgery!! I am starting the liquid diet today, so this morning I had a Synth a-6 Protein shake. I'm ultra worried I won't be able to do this extreme diet for an entire week without starving and feeling miserable or passing out! Any recommendations on a Protein Shake that will keep me full?? Thanks!
  7. I am not yet banded, just waiting for clearance from my doctor, so about the end of april. This thread is great, I've been wondering about the foods ill be able to have/not be able to. mixed reviews about breads though...
  8. Thanks! I guess my msg never went through, but it just said you really made me feel better about it, thank you!!
  9. Hi, i'm new to this site and I have a lot of questions before I get my lap band! Yesterday I completed my nutrition appointment, EKG testing, and pulminary testing. Everything looked good! My stats: Height: 4'11" Weight: 198.5 Jeans/pants: 16 Shirts: XL Jacket:XXL The questions I have are: Is recovery very difficult? How often do you throw up or does food get stuck on lap band? What does it feel like when your band is too tight? How much weight can I expect to lose? What foods can I not eat? Thanks in advance!
