  1. yes I mentioned it to my doctor at the hospital and they said it happens sometimes after surgery and that it should go away. I was hoping someone might have a tip for what helped them so I can get some sleep :-)
  2. Hi guys. I am now 9 days post op and feeling great with the exception of tingling and burning in my thighs. It started the day of sugery and it tingles when sitting but when I am sleeping my thighs fall asleep and burn sooo bad, I havent slept well since before surgery. It doesnt even matter what position I sleep in. Has anybody else had this problem?
  3. Well, its getting closer. Mine is a week from today at 9 am. I have finished all of my pre-op appointments and so far so good on the pre-op diet. Its been difficult to only have protein shakes everyday and no food but I only have a week left. Starting to get nervous though.
  4. No, I havent been able to make one of the groups yet. I have found this board so helpful so I was hoping I wasnt missing much. Have you gone to them?
  5. Another March 8th Bandster here. Super excited and nervous all at the same time!
  6. kcdaddy3, I am also seeing Dr. Malley. My surgery is scheduled for 3/8 which is going to be an awesome birthday present to myself as well as my birhthday is 3/9. I start my liquid diet on Thursday and have my pre-op on Friday. I am a little nervous about the liquid diet though.
  7. I am also using the gallbladder excuse. I dont see why anyone needs to know except for the few people I have told and if I tell one person at my job then soon the whole department will know.
  8. I just found out today that I am scheduled for March 8th. I am so excited and nervous! Its the day before my birthday too. Its been a long road and I'm just glad I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and I am keeping my fingers crossed the rest of this process goes smoothly.
  9. I just found out yesterday that my insurance (Cigna) approved me for surgery. I was very excited until this morning when I remembered that I have a deductible that I have not yet met for this year. Do any of you know from experience how this is handled. Will I be required to pay that up front before I can have the surgery?
  10. I am also waiting for my approval from Cigna. Its only been a couple of days for me and I am very anxious to hear back already! Good Luck!
  11. Hello, Thank you for all of the great feeback. I do work at a desk so I wont have to do much while I am at work but I was curious about my comfort level.
  12. Hello, I am new here and have a couple of questions. I have completed my 6 month doctor supervised diet and exercise program and completed all of my other necessary appointments my insurance required. All of my paperwork has been faxed to my insurance and now I am just waiting to get an approval. I am very anxious for the next part of this journey! My question is for those of you who have already been banded. How much time did you take off of work? Also, I have a very important tradeshow coming up for work at the end of February which is when I am hoping to have the surgery. Would walking a tradeshow for a few hours be too much for me after surgery?
