  1. I am on day 3 and my stomach is doing some really bad things. Anyone else having this problem?
  2. I am on day one too. It has been a rough day. I had to go to the store to get diapers and it was hard. I am only allowed 4 shakes a day with unlimited amounts of black coffee with splenda or sweet n low, Water, or crystal light. I can "cheat" by eating a small piece of chicken or meat with no sides at all but that it should be only 1 time during the preop diet. I am saving that for the weekend.
  3. Oh my goodness that is awesome!!! I would laugh about it to!! My date is March 7th so I start my pre op on Wednesday. Good luck to you.
  4. I start mine on Wednesday!!! I have 1 more last supper day left. I am glad that there are others going through the same thing. I would probably be a wreck if I didn't have you guys on here!!! Good luck to all of us on our journeys!!!
  5. My date has been changed . I am now March 7th. My surgeon wants to do another EGD on March 1st instead of the surgery. He said that when they did the last one 2 years ago there was damage to my esophagus and wants to make sure it hasn't gotten worse. Pre op diet starts on the 22nd. At least I have this weekend to get my last food days in.
  6. No worries Princess, tell your doctor and see if they can write your note on stationary just has his name on it for the letterhead. I am sure they will totally understand when you explain to them you are trying to keep it under wraps for now.
  7. I have told everyone that I am having my hernia fixed. My in laws are very nosey people and my mom wouldn't approve so I just left part of the procedure out.
  8. I went in last week and they said my surgery date is set for March 1st. I see the surgeon next week and probably start the pre op diet after that. They gave me samples of the shakes and info on the pre op and post op diets. I am a big ball off mixed emotions too. I am self pay except for my hernia that the surgeon said he would fix when I am banded. This is a long time coming for me and can't wait to finally be banded, I started the insurance process Feb 2010 but found out I was pregnant shortly after. We had been trying for years but decided to put it on hold for a while to see if my weight was the reason we hadn't gotten pregnant yet. I had my EGD done on a Thursday that found the hernia and found out that I was pregnant on that Sunday. My healthy baby girl was born Nov 2010. After nursing her for a year I am so ready to get this done now!!! My husband keeps talking about more babies but I keep telling him to wait until I lose the weight because this pregnancy took it's toll on me for that reason.
  9. I am going to True Results San Antonio now. My surgery will probably be early March. My surgeon is Dr. Wright but I have heard good things about your surgeon as well as I have a few "banded" friends. I started the insurance process back in Jan 2010 but found out I was pregnant half through the insurance requirement process. Now my insurance is horrible so I will be self pay for the most of it except for my hernia they found in 2010. I have always had a great experience with them though.
