  1. I bought a Pandora bracelet and have added beads. My favorite bead representing my surgery says "freedom". This is freedom from my old body, freedom from blood pressure meds, freedom from carb comas, and freedom to LIVE again. When I look at that bead it reminds me to be thankful for my second chance at life. By the way, my success story... I have lost 55 pounds since 1/30/12. From a size 20 to a 14. I am loving it.
  2. For canned chicken, I added some queso cheese and salsa, and heated it up.
  3. Ii was banded Jan. 30. I have lost about 25 pounds. I am the same way about being able to eat. I have noticed though, when we go out, I eat about a third of what I would eat before. Plus no bread or carbs. I am only eating Protein. I ave hit a plateau for over a week. I get my first fill on the 29th and I hope this will help.
  4. On day five, post op, I was allowed mushies. That was today. I had Wendy's chili. This was suggested by my surgeon. I only ate about three tablespoons but it was great. I was full and satisfied after that.
  5. My surgeon wants me to get 60-80 grams of protien a day. I can barely get one of those milky drinks down. I can sip on water and tea but those shakes fill me up so quickly I can't drink the whole thing.
  6. I had surgery on the 30th. I hate the liquid diet, but just when I think I can handle it, I start having hunger pains in the bottom part of my stomach. They get pretty bad. Will I have these from now on? Also I would like to hear from any January bandsters.
  7. Good luck on your surgery, I am also scheduled for Jan 30. We will have to keep in touch.
  8. Congrats! I cannot wait until I can say the same thing. I will be banded on 1/30/12 and I have been eating healthier for about a month. He has caught on and has actually lost more weight than I have. Not for long though.
