  8. Magnesium tabs work like a charm as well if you're ever finding the tea isn't helping.
  9. I hit a plateau in the second week and it lasted 2 weeks. I found that I needed to eat real food and not supplements and stay to 5 bites only of high quality protein and veggies and only 1-2 carb bites a day. The weight started sliding off after that. I switched from mostly water to Powerade zero which seemed to help as well. I also found that when I obsessed about entering my food to the app that I thought more about food than just eating when I felt hungry. Think about the things you are doing and change one thing at a time for a few days and see if that helps. If not, change something else. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. I'm sorry this is happening to you! My Dr told me he made my pouch bigger because he did not want me to waste away. I had to have bypass because there was so much scar tissue from my lap band that my sleeve conversion failed within a few days. Maybe they can fix your pouch to make it bigger? He told me 5oz vs 3 is best for smaller people. Worth it to see if anything can be done to revise. I would definitely see some one who specializes in high risk revisions. 11. Yep, same here. I found if I'm going to eat something sweet, it has to be the last bite of the 5 and it's that or another carb bite with the rest being protein. It's totally not worth it to feel like you're having a palpitation... Bread even made me feel sick so it's no joke when you cheat. I don't even want to know what a sugary drinks would do and I'm not about to find out! Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. The iron can definitely cause it. You can take a magnesium supplement with colace if you are constipated or try some Smooth Move tea. That stuff works like a charm with no cramping Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. My nutrition is said no but Dr said it is fine for anything outside of the basic multivitamin Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. How do they do a reversal? I didn't even know this was possible... Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using BariatricPal mobile app

  16. One more thing I was going to say on this that I know led to my success in avoiding all sorts of bad stuff was that my doctor had me practice the band way of eating before my surgery which was: 1.) smaller plates, divided in half and then one side in quarters. 1st half is all veg, then second half is split between Protein and a starch of my choice. Order to eat is protein, then veg, then starch. 2.) Putting the fork down each time is crucial to preventing things from getting stuck. 3.) Not drinking your calories 4.) Not eating and drinking together 5.) Stopping at the first feeling of fullness 6.) Also, smaller drinking glasses for everything that is not Water or protein so you avoid the over pouring of drinks. Hope this helps.
  17. It is all what you put into it after the first year. The first year is pretty easy because it does a lot of work for you and you are excited about it and then when you see results it is easier to fall off the wagon but the band keeps you from misbehaving too much. I have been 150% happy with my band and I even fell off for a bit and maintained the initial weight loss.
  18. elcee is right on with her response and I've had similar experience. It only takes once for most to remember what not to do because it really hurts! Chew chew chew and put your fork down in between bites to remind you to chew until it is a liquid. I found that when something gets stuck, it's when I'm grabbing something out of a party tray that doesn't require a fork and knife so you more easily forget.
  19. Congratulations, you will love it!
