  1. Banded on 2/20. Mushies are much better than full liquids. Avocados are my friend. this is definitely a learning experience. Just now starting to feel like myself.
  2. Just started mushies. Scrambled eggs with cheese. Tuna with a little mayo. An avocado with Tuscan house Italian dressing on it. Cottage cheese with peaches. Refried beans with melted cheese and sour cream. Pudding. That's all I've had so far. Better than soup.
  3. I just started mushies. Keeps getting better and better. You'll be here soon.
  4. It will get better. I was banded 2/20. We all have the "what have I done to myself" thoughts. Walk walk walk. Remember they did some major stuff while in surgery. You're pretty banged up when you come out. There are much better days ahead. Hang in there. You've made it this far. Stay strong. We are all behind ya.
  5. My doc told me if I had a lot of drainage at night to take a teaspoon of lemon juice in the morning to break it up. It totally works! Though i do add a little splenda to it.
  6. Good luck to our last day of bandsters tomorrow. You'll be closing our month out for us. I'm 7 days post op and can't believe the drastic improvement in how I feel and my energy level today.
  7. Well I was banded 2/20/12 by Dr Baker. Doing well so far. It's definitely a learning experience.
  8. Love love UNJURY. The chicken soup was a lifesaver during preop and now during post op. I mix a little of the chk soup with tomato bisque and it's great. The unflavored is great to add to stuff as well.
  9. I was banded 2/20 and returned to work 2/23. Worked 3/4 of a day and yesterday I worked a whole day. It really tired me out. Resting this weekend. Day by day feeling better. Wish the hideous bruises would Ho away that are on both hands from the first two IV attempts. Thank God they got it on the third. Lol I think that was the most painful part.
  10. I'm 4 days post op. Trying to learn what a hunger pain is vs a gas pain. This has been a very mentally draining week. The physical part seems like the easiest. I watch the scale going down. Worried I'm becoming obsessive about it but the lapband HAS to be my main focus right now. I'm ready for the normal days. This too shall pass....
  11. I'm on post op day three as well. Cream of Chicken soup is pretty good if you blend ip the chicken chunks. Also campbells has a portabello mushroom bisque that is divine. I'm adding unflavored protein powder to almost everything. I still have moments of "what have I done to myself?" that I'm going through. Scared but healing. I seem to get tired really fast. I went back to work today. Made it a half a day. Woohoo!!! Onward and upward!!
  12. I'm being discharged on Fat Tuesday. Too funny!!
  13. I check in at 730 in the morning for surgery. Preop I am down 13.8 lbs. I'm nervous but excited. By this time tomorrow I'll be strolling the halls of the hospital dragging a pain pump beside me.
  14. UNJURY makes an unflavored protein powder. Also their chicken soup flavored protein drink has saved my life for pre-op. I have surgery on 2/20...Light at the end of the tunnel baby!!!!!!!!
  15. Being banded here in Little Rock, Arkansas by Dr. Baker. The first week I could have pickles? Now just my shakes. I can add sugar free jello mix with it I I want. It's all too sweet. Right now my fat free chicken broth is heaven. I keep telling myself.. I think I can I think I can.
  16. Same as you KassieRose. Surgery 2/20 and I an have 5 HMR shakes a day. Hard to choke them down but I have lost 11.4 lbs in a week.
  17. I feel your pain. I have surgery 2/20. I had to sit in a lunch meeting with 25 coworkers eating burgers and fries while I sipped my hmr shake. I wanted to cry. I made it but whoa was it rough.
  18. Woohoo start my preop diet tomorrow. Here we go!!!!!
