  1. Wheetsin It sounds like we might the same body type. I'm very hippy but I have a little waist. I wear a size 10 shoe. I hate buying jeans because of my hips and thighs
  2. Is anybody else confused by lane bryants new sizing? According to the girl who measured me I wear a size one there. Does anybody know what size that would be in a "normal size"? I'm also 6' tall and need a long inseam (about 36-38)
  3. I get them too. I also get loud hiccups.
  4. I've had a fill every two weeks....but they were included with the price of my band for 1 year.
  5. chicken pasta...not even the real tiny pasta bread triscut crackers
  6. Hi Jill, I also have IHC and my band was not covered, I had to self-pay. Good luck with your appointment.
  7. I got my second fill today. I hope it lasts longer than the first one did. The water (saline I guess) dissappeared out of it. I had 1.5 cc. for the first fill but the nurse said there was only .08 left in it. Now I have 2 cc. in a 4 cc band.
  8. Hi, my name is Rebecca. Rubylyn is a nickname my dad gave me because when I was a little girl I had red hair (it turned blonde when I got older) and Lyn is my middle name. My dad passed away 4 years ago so that nickname is even more special to me now.
  9. From what I've heard Dr. Mckeen is the only doctor in Utah that will do fills on patients who had their surgeries in Mexico.
  10. Thanks for posting this jammy. I felt the same thing when I started mushies last night. I was getting worried. I feel better knowing other people have felt this and its pretty common.
  11. healthny.... I was banded on monday 5/14. I have the same dull ache that you are describing. I talked to my doctor today, he said its from a swollen esophagus and diaphram. Mine kind of feels tight when I take a deep breath and I keep getting the hic-ups rather I'm drinking or not. He said its all normal and should start feeling better as the swelling goes down and your body adjusts to having the band squeezing against it. I hope that helps and you feel better soon. I know what your going through.
  12. Good luck to everyone getting the band tomorrow.
  13. I was also banded yesterday. Everything went well. I arrived at the surgical center at about 10:30 a.m. and was leaving by about 3:00 p.m I also feel pretty good but I also feel like i've done about 2000 sit ups or Like I was in a pretty bad fist fight and I got the band end of the deal. The gas was pretty bad last night. I kept feeling like I needed to burp but it wouldn't come out, I also had a hard time taking deep breaths. Today is alot better though. The gas is pretty much gone. (I used gas-x strips and walked alot) I've had to sneeze a few times.....wow that doen't feel too good when that happens.
  14. I'm 5'11 and little change (closer to 6') and i set my goal at 165. That may be too low. My doctor said 185-190 would be better. I'm tall and have a bigger frame and long legs. My jeans inseam is 38 inches long. I just think 185-190 is too close to 200 pounds. I have a long way to go but I never want to see the 200's again.
  15. I'm getting the band on monday. I'm so nervous and excited!! I can't tell if I want to barf or jump for joy. I feel like a little kid at christmas.
  16. Thanks Amy I really appreciate that. I'm getting more nervous the more I think about it.
  17. :notagree I'm getting the band in 8 days. I was just wondering if any of your sleeping positions had to change because of getting the band. I have always slept on my stomach. I know I won't be able to do this while I'm healing. Can any of you sleep on your stomach after you have all healed up? Does the port bother you if do sleep on your stomach?:notagree
  18. I was told 1 hour before, nothing during, and not for 1 hour after also.
  19. Thanks for explaining all that sweethot143. I too am Mormon. It's frusterating when people don't know the whole story about being LDS. Where did you husband serve his mission?
  20. :clap2: I live in Spanish Fork and will be getting the band on May 14th.
  21. Hi, I'm Rebecca. I will be banded on May 14th by Dr. Mckeen. I'm excited and nervous too. I hope you guys will be able to help me with my questions. Is it just me or does this site keep changing? I've only posted a couple of times but it's been different each time.
  22. 13. so I don't have to suck my stomach in all the time. 14. So I won't have to constantly be re-arranging my clothes to make sure all of my lumps and bumps are covered appropriately.:rolleyes
