  1. So I just had my second fill and I feel some of restriction. It could be tighter, but that will come in a few weeks. The problem is that all the desire to eat, and taste yummy things, and fill myself up (in some emotionally tied way) is all still there. I don't know what I thought it would be like, but I didn't think it would be like this. Does this go away? How do I change my brain to view things differently? I'm confused and a little discouraged. Nicole
  2. So, I'm almost 2 months out from surgery now, and when I feel full, I get a pain in my left shoulder blade. My doc told me that it is the band "rubbing" against my diaphragm and that is where the pain is registered (in your shoulder blade). The idea of that creeps me out for some reason - maybe the r"ubbing against" part; don't know, but it could be a cause. Nick
  3. I have my first fill in a few weeks, and I wanted to know what it feels like? Do you feel it, does it hurt, are there problems finding the port? Nicole
  4. My god Chickie, you look amazing!!! Good for you and good luck on your marathons.:clap2:
  5. I was banded last week and I was curious how to pick a goal weight? Is it a size you would just feel comfortable at; is it a government table for healthy BMI's; what? I am just happy to lose almost anything, but secretly wish for a whole lot more. Just to where I can get off some meds and buy clothes in a "normal" clothes store again. And, of course, but hot undies.
  6. Hi. I was banded on May 1st in Denver. I feel hunger coming on and it scares me a little. I'm afraid to over do it and think about band slippage as well. I sounds like we all are thinking the same thing. It's nice to hear all of you. Be well. PS-Still on the liquid diet; is the only way to get protein through those shakes? I need food ideas.
  7. Hi. I'm glad I found this site. My name is Nicole and I was just banded on 5/1 in Denver, CO with Dr. Brown. Still a bit sore but I'm managing. I'm mentally done with the liquid diet, but I have one more week to go. I feel like I'm growing (at least trying to grow) a whole new relationship with food and my body. I'm listening to what my body has to say, for once. Although, it's not always sending the clearest messages. Am I full? Have I had enough? It's all new to me. Anyway, it's good to hear all of you out there. Thanks.
