  1. The atkins advantage milk chocolate is really good.
  2. I was banded on August 26th and I am down almost 20lbs and I am starting to feel it in my clothes, but I can eat pretty much anything I want right now. I have no restrictions either. I am just keeping it low cal and high protein and that seems to be doing the trick, although this weekend I splurged a little and had some wine. I also have downloaded on my iphone the my fitness pal app and it has helped me so much. I can see if I am keeping my cals and carbs low and also if I am getting all my protein. I have never been good about journaling my food but I have kept up with this for 2 weeks now and I love it, helps me be more conscious of what I am eating. Stay strong everyone. I can't wait for my first fill in a couple of weeks either! Courtney
  3. I was banded the same day and I am in the same boat. I can eat anything and water is fine too. I am so ready for my first fill. Glad to know Im not the only one like this.
  4. I was band the same day as you and I am in the same boat. I can eat just about anything and water goes down easy too. I'm ready for a fill but still have to wait a few more weeks.
  5. In response to journaling, I have downloaded the the my fitness pal ap on my iphone and it is so perfect for this. I do it to watch my cal count but also to make sure I am getting in enough protein.
  6. I was going to a Zumba class that was offered at my gym at work and loved it. its a great workout but a lot of fun.
  7. Hello everyone! I was banded August 26th so I am 5 days out and starving as well!! Woooo this is getting hard. nothing keeps me satisfied long. Can't wait to chew something again!! but down 10lbs since surgery so I'm staying positive and motivated! Hang in there everyone! so glad to be on this side of the process!
  8. Hello all, I am having my surgery done on the 26th I was approved by insurance last week and I did not lose any weight during my 6 month diet. I maintained, which I am actually thrilled about, but didn't lose any. I have BCBSTX. good luck to everyone!!
  9. I've decided to tell everybody! I don't care what others think and most everyone has been incredibly supportive about my decision. I only had one person tell me he thought I was taking the easy way and I basicly said "first of all its not easy and second even if it was what the hell is wrong with that?" I'm super excited I get banded this Thursday. The pre-op diet is sucking. I'm ready to change my life! Good luck to everyone !
  10. My date is the 26th. very excited but nervous too.
  11. Hello all, want to introduce myself, I just was approved for my surgery for next week. I am excited but so scared also!:smile2: this is going to be a wild ride!
  12. Yeah, don't let those sites freak you out about the band, especially when they are trying to convince people to go with the MGB procedure. Its a horrible marketing ploy. I have not been banded yet but I am convinced this is the procedure for me. I really don't like the idea of someone hacking up my guts. At least this leaves my bowels intact. LOL
  13. I quit smoking too, and because I know how hard it is I would never, ever be mean or cruel about someone smoking. We all have our vices and some people need to learn to lay off.
  14. this is way too harsh and if you are on this site then you probably have a issue with your weight, so saying something like that would be like a skinny person telling you to quit eating... not for yourself but for the people that have to look at you!!!! Smoking is an addiction and its very difficult to quit, especially when you are trying to change your eating habits. Just FYI your comment was not cool.
