  1. Hi Mel, I fund your post at the right time because I am feeling the same way. I see my doc tomorrow and can let you know what I find out
  2. I am exactly the same way. When I heard my tummy might not like cold water I wasn't happy lol
  3. Congrats! I too am a savory person and can't wait for cottage cheese
  4. I think I just had my 1st, I don't regret this, moment . First of all I don't regret the surgery, but having been pretty uncomfortable since surgery I have wondered if I have done the right thing. Anyway I woke up this morning did the normal routine, realized I was REALLY thirsty so I went to the fridge and grabbed my G2. Without even thinking I took a big ol' drink, as I started to swaollowmi realized what I did and thought crap this is gonna hurt. Low and behold it didn't! I took a normal drink of cold liquid and it didn't hurt. I'm so excited! Of course that turned to fear that I broke my sleeve, but I doubt that's possible, and I'm going to choose to believe that. It felt so good to be thirsty and take a normal drink quench that thirst I guess it's the little things.
  5. They never said anything to me about a HH, but seriously does the gas pain ever go away? I'm assuming that pain that hits me in my rib cage for no reason, or when i take a deep breath is gas pains. I've tried walking, gas ex, tea warm, cinnamon... Everything short of cutting me open again lol. I kno this seems ridiculous but this really hurts, and I'm a baby. Any help or just reassurance that it will go away & I haven't broke something would make me feel better. TYIA Tracy
  6. I am taking gas ex chewables and walking as much as I can around here with the snow and the ice. I do go up and down my apt stairs. Everything seems to be moving now lol
  7. Thank you. I love the clean n clear astringent so I may just start there.
  8. I am looking for info regarding a good facial moisturizer and if it helps tighten all the better. I know there are no magical lotions or potions to get rid of loose skin, but I would like to find something for my face to keep it hydrated. There is soooo much on the market I dont know where to start.
  9. I know I'm not going to be a super model because of the way I'm built and I'm okay with that because my goal is to be healthy. I do think the lady you met is discouraged bor else she wouldn't have felt the need to share all of that. With that being said my PCP, nut, myself and surgeon all agree onederland is where I want to be and that is as far as I have gotten with my goal. If anything use her story to remind you to not let yourself get complacent and don't think of it as anymore than that... Just my opinion. Tracy
  10. Thanks Ela, the nausea is better and the pain is apparently gas. Holy cow I never imagined gas this bad and it just won't pass lol so I keep walking and walking
  11. Thanks everyone. I am out of the hospital where they monitored my intake & output very closely. Right now I am soooooo thirsty I am taking tiny sips quite often. I am finding after making some camomile tea I am handling warml liquids better than cold. I do have the extreme gas pressure and pain. I'm going thru the omg please don't let me stretch anything fear which I know is unreal considering how much I have drank. I just want to make sure what I know what the new full feels like lol
  12. Question to those that have been sleeved. This is my second day post-op and I am confused by my tummy talking to me. If I drink too much I get this pressure in my chest, then I take smaller sips but still get the same pain, then there are times when there is just plain ol pain/discomfort. For today I have had a total of 4oz broth and the same amout of Jello + a total of 16oz of Water. Am I just having post op pain, is it hunger pains or am I being told I'm full. How did you guys figure out how to read what your stomach is telling you? What does full feel like when you are sleeved? Thanks for any insight. Tracy
  13. I am now officially on the losers bench and sleeved. I must be a wimp because I hurt like hell and I'm nauseated. Don't get me wrong i don't regret it at all and I am really excited for the changes to come.
