I Don't Think My Dr Was As Happy As I Was
Sometimes people who don’t struggle with weight or have not had the surgery don’t really know how to be supportive. If you ask me you should Just know and be honest with yourself about your commitment and the life changes that you are making post op and be your best advocate in reaching your goal and you will get there! Also it doesn’t hurt to come on this site for moral support! Good luck and keep rocking that sleeve!

What Do You Recommend?
I would do it all over again also, but I understand that you don’t want to be a walking advertisement for VGS for everyone who want to drop a few pounds, but if a friend was struggling like I did I would tell them honestly about my journey ,the final decision is up to them. It is a life changing tool not to be taken lightly but it has helped me tremendously and I would have to tell them that!

Watermelon
Isn’t it funny how some food are sliders and others are not… The best part of this is that now you know that this is a trigger for you and you can plan accordingly…Good luck!

This Feeling In The Back Of My Thorat Wont Go Away
This sounds like something that I had happen to me a while ago, I think it might be fommies from eating to much or to fast or maybe it’s the type of food that you are eating. Post op eating is different for some of us, chicken, fish and beef feel different going down. I suggest that you write down what you are eating and how it makes you feel the 1st few months are a huge learning process. But check with your doctors and see what they say. Good luck!

6 Month Supervised Diet.. Anyone Lose Enough Weight They Decided
Here are my thoughts on why this tool works. I cannot consume everything that I want any more. I really know what full feels like, and I get what satisfied feels like also. I know the difference and can recognize between head hunger, stress eating and eating because I am bored, for me it is not a blur of hunger anymore. I have to think about what I want to eat and what I need to eat at every moment, even if I choose poorly I am aware of it. 58 lbs down and I am healthier and feel successful and like I can reach goal. I’m going to the gym and feeling good about it. I am becoming more aware of my body and appreciating it more as I become healthier. I feel like I have finally taken charge of a lifelong issue, (and it is spilling over into other parts of my life as well). I have had bumps along the way and have done things that I didn’t think I would do post op, but I am facing them and dealing with them in a different way than I ever could have done pre surgery. This is a drastic change and you have to go in knowing that, but most people who have done it will tell you that it was the best decision that they made, and I would have to agree. I would do it all over again! Keep checking out the sites, there are a lot of useful posts and this is a judgment free zone, so this is the place to be honest about your issues with food, someone out there will understand and may be able to offer you some help. Good luck!!!!

I’M Feeling A Slight Loss Of Control With Grazing And Sweets.
I went on vacation and eat out all week and even though I couldn’t (Thank God) go overboard I did eat things that I would normally avoid, (ice cream, sausage, bread) and I eat to my maximum full felling every time. Now I’m home and all I can think about is food, I even went so far as to have a 2 slices of pizza and 1 ½ pop tarts one day!!! This is crazy stuff that I haven’t had since the surgery. I’m focusing on getting back into my post op strategy H20, Protein shake, planned meals but it’s hard…just posting this for moral support…Thanks everyone! PS I also had a NSV with the plane seat... I fit with plenty of room and no fear of spilling over to the seat next to me and I wore shorts which I haven’t done in decades!
