  1. I've been going to counseling and also attending an Emotional Eating group since my band surgery. I wish I had done it prior! No longer using food to sedate myself, to "stuff" down my emotions has led to some trying times. But I'm learning how to cope. I hope you can find help too... Jacki
  2. Be sure to get in your protein... that will help
  3. I had the gastric band with plication on 12/12/11. Started at 310; my last weigh-in I was 262. The benefits of both - I'm glad I'm part of this study as well. Did you opt for it? Jacki
  4. I'm using the (Target brand) Up & Up adult gummy multivitamins; two per day (one a.m., one p.m.) and I'm happy with the chewability and taste.
  5. I agree - the gallbladder removal, even though done lap, left me in a lot of pain for two days. The entire first day I spent on the couch. Lap-band was not as painful and I was walking around within a couple of hours and was able to do most things for myself. Hope your surgery brings good things for you!
  6. Perhaps the Protein Shakes are causing the gas in your stomach? Different brands/types use different forms of protein and can have different effects (gas, bloating, etc). Hoping each day is better than the one before! Jacki
  7. I also started at 286 and have my first post op this coming Thursday. Woohoo!!! My surgery date was 12/12/11. Hope each day is better for you, Jacki
  8. I ordered some 3 ounce Protein "shots" which each have 25 protein. I figure no matter how bad something tastes, I can get 3 ounces down. Also, they were not as bad as I had thought they would be... bonus! I had pleated band done on 12/12/11. Hang in there!
