  2. Eat a good carb before going to workout, IMMEDIATELY AFTER drink a protein shake. Always make sure that you are hydrated.

  4. I have mine done 12/22. I am excited about my new journey. Good luck to everyone, we can do this!
  5. I guess it all comes down to how much weight your doctor wants you to lose. Reading some of these diets I wish I was as fortunate to have these options. Things are getting better though from a hungar standpoint. Just wished it tasted better. Oh well, all eyes on the prize.
  6. Linda you will need to go to a sleep study location to be diagnosed. They will have you stay the night to observe, probably twice.
  7. Sending my prayers.
  8. Wow this amazing! I am glad you are ok. When you complete your weight loss journey this will be an amazing story. You should right a book. :-)
  9. Great job Jen, I am on the same page. I am on day three of my liquid diet and my surgery is 12/22. It has been hard but where I am trying to get to has been my motivation! Congratulations on your success.

Congratulations, I am happy for you. I am glad everything went well. Did you have any issues after surgery? Nausea, vomiting, or any other issues?
  11. Congrats on your decision to make this journey. I am with you, I just made my decision a couple of months ago. I am due for surgery in a couple of weeks. My wife was hesitant for me as well but she is on board now. Do this for you and your health. Include your fiancee in your journey.
  12. Lapband is the safest option, but depending on your BMI you may not qualify. Most surgeons want your BMI below 50. Lapband is reversible where bypass isn't. With bypass they cut out part of your stomach plus change your plumbing. With bypass you will lose the weight faster, you can only eat so much. For me I chose lapband, I felt it was the safest option. Hope this helps.
  13. Hello, I am a newbie. I am currently in my pre-op diet phase where I drink liquids. My surgeon has me eating/drinking medifast food. Some of it is awful. I am struggling here. I want some real food. Things are getting easier but I struggle with some of these food choices. What did/are you doing to help you get through this face? My surgery is 12/22, no turning back now.
