  1. Hi fellow sleevers! I haven't been here for almost 1 year, the fact that I got sooo very frustrated that I only lost 35 lbs within a full year!!! I did all the right things that I was supposed to do. I work for 11 hours and on my feet for most part, I try to eat healthy and exercise as well BUT to no avail! On my 3rd month post op, I even did a swallow test to make sure that everything inside is ok and it was. They didn't see anything wrong. My surgeon mentioned about having a revision done after few more test. I'm not sure at this moment, there are days that I want it redone and some days that I don't! I DON'T KNOW YET! I always ask myself should I or shouldn't I? I'm currently 177 lbs right now, sometimes I'm down to 174 lbs on a good day. So, is there anybody out here with the same issue that I'm facing right now? I don't know is it worth to having it redone? Would you get it redone? I am sooo worried, irrirtated and FRUSTRATED!!!!!
  2. Hi my fellow sleevers! It's been awhile since I've been on this site. I'm 7 months out and only lost between 30-35 lbs, really??? I am still following what I'm supposed to, eating healthy, exercising. I work 4-10s and on my feet 95% of the time. I've seen my surgeon last month and said that it really varies from person to person...I only want to loose about 30 more pounds but with the pace that I am going, it seems like it'll take me forever!!! I haven't really been to my support group because I am just frustrated/ disgusted way beyond belief. Some people that had this done, don't even exercise nor eat healthy and they still loose the weight! So are there people out here going thru the same thing that I am going thru right now? I am just way sooooooooooooooo very frustrated, PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. I'm also a military wife and we are stationed here in JBLM, WA. Well I didn't have any issues dealing with Tricare whatsover. Maybe depending on where you're at right now. I know for a fact that they stop doing lap band completely. Won't they refer you out? Ask your PCM if they can do that for you, instead. Best of luck to you.............
  4. 4 weeks post and only lost 12lbs, really? Did I even make the right decision to get sleeved? I am so frustrated why I haven't lost anything at all? grrrrrrr!!!

  6. Hi my fellow sleevers, 3 weeks post on Monday... Today@ work, I noticed when I had a few sips of my protein shake, it made me feel kinda puky, so I decided to not push it. And this afternoon, I had some Isopure, it did the same thing:( Does anybody know why that is?

  7. I know everybody's different AND I'm ONLY on my my 5th day post-op and yesterday it seems like nothing is satisfying me:( I had different flavor jellos but I'm just done with it, well at least not every meal.I also do all kinds of broth, pudding..no so crazy about it and an occasional apple sauce. My hubby extra pureed a mashed potato for me on thanksgiving and was really scared to have a little. I had couple baby spoonful of it and was really satisfied. @ of my girlfriends at work said that I shouldn't have no appetite whatsover, so now I am really scared WHY do I even feel hungry then? SO, what else CAN I have besides jello on my 5 day post-op? I have a wonderful hubby that will try to accomodate me in just about anything, so preparing, making, cooking won't be a problem!!! I JUST NEED ANY SUGGESTIONS AND IDEAS and your help is much appreciated.... THANKS MUCH!!!
  8. Yes I am, Ms. Betty Boop(cute)...some of our fellow sleevers, lost between 20-22 lbs in a week...and yes you heard me right...1 week and they still continue to loose!
  9. OMG... I thought it was just me! I'm 18 days post and only lost 14 lbs...grrrr! I went back to work after 2 weeks and I thought I will loose more since I've been moving around but the scale hasn't moved since!!! SO FRUSTRATED:[
  10. 1/2 cup for starters maybe less than that and should be a consistency of baby food! canned tuna, salmons, finely ground up meat, mashed taters (yeay), low fat chili, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese (ewww), etc, etc!!! *JUST MAKE SURE YOU CHEW IT LIKE 200 TIMES, lol BEFORE SWALLOWING:) GOODLUCK.............

    What kind of Protein drinks?

Good morning to all! I'm almost 2 weeks post-op and really getting tired of drinking cold protein shakes. So I googled," if I nuke my RTD protein shake in the microwave, will it loose its protein?" And surprisingly, it says, NOOOO! So I tried and nuke half of my strawberry shake. It came out warm (that's was the idea, right?), better and took out that after taste BUT I noticed it got a little sweeter. But maybe adding a little water in my next batch....At least now, I enjoy drinking my protein shake. AND also if I can only I can find a coffee/latte flavor in the regular store.....
  12. I know right, all doctors are different. They said if it goes thru a straw you're okay. I do alot of Isopure on plenty on crushed ice. I have 2 different boxes of the sugar-free popsicles but it's like eating a straight sugar on a stick.
  13. Thanks Ms. Lissa, I edited my post and I forgot the broths, apple sauces and pudding...BUT none seem to be helping much:(
  14. another question...4 days post-op, I knew it was Thanksgiving week and with all the cookings. Now the scary part is, why do I feel hungry all the time, is this normal? My husband extra pureed a mashed potato for me lst night and I had couple of baby spoonful of it, you think I'm going extra too fast? What shall I do, to not even think about getting hungry?

  15. Okay I'm all new to this. I'm on my 4 day post-op, feeling sore otherwise I'm pretty good. Today I noticed that when I drink or eat jello, my tummy starts grumbling. Do you know why? I am kinda freaking out a lilttle...Thanks all!
