Pregnancy Vs Wls? Please Help.
Just my humble opinion: yes, I would have a baby ASAP. I have no children and at 38 I know the chances of having a healthy baby plummet around 35. Weight does complicate the matter greatly though, so it's a personal choice between you and your doctor(s). Keep us posted!!!! I wish you the BEST OF LUCK no matter what you choose.

Bowel Movement, There I Said It
I'm glad you asked the forum. That's what it's for! I was lucky enough not to have a constipation problem. I wish I had some good advice for you. Perhaps the others will have more good feedback for you! I wish you luck!

I Am Overweight, And 6 Lbs From Wonderland!
I'm so happy for you! What a momentous victory! You bring up an interesting goal. One I had not thought about. I will add it to my list: to change my weight classification from "severely obese" to "overweight". Thank you for the inspiration! I take it your mother has passed? If so, I'm sorry she can't be with you to experience your transformation, but I believe she is in your heart and knows...somehow...someway.

I Wish Someone Had Told Me....
I'm so surprised to hear about all the vomitting after surgery in the hospital. My doctor was so worried I would throw up post-surgery. He promised he'd do everything in his power to keep me from vomitting. I felt so comforted to hear that from him. I never threw up either. We tried 3 types of meds before one finally relieved the nausea, but it worked great. I'm so sorry anyone got sick after stomach surgery. I can imagine it was a special kind of hellish experience. So I guess the lesson learned is to ask our surgeons how they will handle post-op nausea treatement.

Does Anyone Watch Man Vs. Food?
I used to watch that show occassionally. I try not to watch any shows that deal with food prep or restaurants (with the major exception of Top Chef) now because they tend to make me feel like snacking/cheating. Poor, Adam. i had no idea he was having so many problems. I hope he finds his way to good health.

I Wish Someone Had Told Me....
No tube for me either. I was lucky. I felt pretty prepared for the process thanks to this forum. This was my first major surgery. I was shocked how fatigued I was for the first month. I still get fatigued easily. I was warned though. I didn't realize how hard it would be to get my Protein (60 - 80g/day) and Water. Again, I was warned. I just had to go through it. Oh, the big one: I had a sudden case of serious cold feet about three days before surgery. I called my family for a sanity check and they helped pull me back from the ledge (cancelling the surgery). I'm so happy I did it!
