  1. Been messing up and not losing. Will do better starting today. Back on board!
  2. Fresh off the Labor Day Challenge (lost 9 1/2 pounds) and ready for more... Good luck y'all! My Halloween goal is 170
  3. Didn't make my goal... I'm at 183 pounds, down 9 1/2 pounds... but hey, that's more than I would have lost if I hadn't started the challenge. I'm ready for the Halloween challenge, goin' there now! And a great big woo-hoo to all of you who not only met but exceeded your challenge goals!
  4. Current weight 185. I've only lost 7 1/2 pounds since starting the challenge, but I might not have lost anything if I hadn't started at all! So I'm good and working hard for more of a loss this week.
  5. Started two weeks ago, been up and down a little but lost another two pounds this week. Total lost since starting the challenge: 5 1/2 pounds. Almost ten months out and it's slow (but sure) from here. NSV: Able to do sit-ups again! Am exercising daily and that's helping a lot. Only 29 days left in this challenge though, and I still have 14 1/2 pounds to go to meet my goal. Arggh.
  6. Well not too successful a week! I gained back two of the three and a half pounds that I lost the first week Back on track for now... was eating out a lot and not exercising. Remember, as Roseanne says, "The only one who can defeat me is me!"
  7. Ha, it took me four weeks! Hang in.
  8. K, don't know if we have a formal weigh-in day, but I'm making mine Saturday for now... Finally cracked 190. Whew! What a freakin' battle it's been! But I'm here and I'm stayin'! Three pounds down this week. Yay.
  9. I hear ya sisters. BUT after not having exercised for 7-8 months, I just started and already I can see an improvement. No, I won't be supermodel material, but I'm better than I was and I'll be better yet if I just don't give up. We all just need to hang in. I'm wearing shorts this year... first time in forever. And yes, they're long enough to cover the thigh flab. That and a little self-tanner and I look pretty good! I'll wear a tank top around the house or while exercising, but that's it. No public appearances in skimpy tops. Also remember, I'm 64 years old and maybe I'd just be getting flabby anyway!
  10. Had a successful day 1 on the challenge. I'm happy!
  11. I'm in too. I'm eight months out (nearly nine) and it's slowed down a lot... so I seriously need to kick-start everything again. Wt loss Goal: 20 Exercise (ugh): 5x wkly Good luck everyone! Forgot to add a few things: SW 192 1/2; GW 172 1/2 Keep Protein over 80; carbs under 50; cals around 900-1000.
  12. You're looking great Lissa. I guess I'll have to really get serious about the exercise. So far I've been about 50-60% committed.
  13. I'm eight months out and have lost 84 pounds. BUT I notice that my weight loss is now slowing down drastically. Is this the part where I have to start working harder??!! On the other hand, I just got back from a vacation and maintained, so I guess it ain't all bad! Anyone else notice a slowing at this stage?
  14. Yay, keep up the good work!
  15. Big yay for you. Carry on, you're doing great!
  16. You are doing great. Happy for u!
  17. I can't say I've never regretted it, but really only for the minute or two that it takes me to realize that I'm not really hungry... just maybe anxious or pissed and just want to lose my SELF in food. Now that I can't do that, I have to think my way through what's bothering me and that can be difficult. But five minutes later, when I realize I haven't given in and consumed huge portions of food just to feel better... I feel better!
  18. I don't tell anybody how much I've lost except this board. My ex (still really good friends) can't manage to say the right thing no matter what he says or how hard he tries. Sample comments: "I can't believe you're still losing when you eat so much" -- yea, right, a 1/4 cup of cottage cheese and 1/4 cup of strawberries ... Or questions like "So how much have you lost this week?" especially when I was in a stall. Or that classic: "How much have you lost altogether?" Bottom line is it's nobody's business but mine. So I just told him it was something we could no longer discuss. I just tell everyone else that I'm on my way to a size 10 and then I'll consider myself "done."
  19. Had both done and no aftereffects that I'm aware of. At six months out, I still don't eat and drink together and I still do small portions (actually measured) so that I don't have more than one cup at a time. Have never had the slimes or nausea and consider myself very lucky.
  20. Anyone else tried Open Nature Greek frozen yogurt? 150 cals/half cup and 7 gms protein. Not bad!
  21. Anyone else tried Open Nature Greek frozen yogurt? 150 cals/half cup and 7 gms protein. Not bad!
  22. All I could manage was a short walk up and down the block for the first two weeks. Give yourself a break, you're doing fine and you WILL lose!
  23. Oh BTW, ignore my ticker. It's a work in progress, just like me.
