  1. That is a great NSV! Well done!
  2. Yep, I am 14 days post op & soooo tired. But heard it is part of the course & should improve by about week 3.
  3. Good luck, you are in great hands with Dr Kelly. Tell Omar "hi" from Sharon... I was just there 2 weeks ago!
  4. I think stage 2 & 3 diets are different for everyone. My stage 2 diet was adding in Protein shakes (on day 10). Stage 3 for me is adding purees/mushies & that is on day 22.
  5. Wow, you are allowed to have mushy foods already? You are lucky! I am 14 days out & still not on mushies. My Dr says 22 days I can start. Pure torture! Glad everything went so smooth though!
  6. Just a note, that if you want to chat on facebook, we have a secret facebook group going on there! It is called May 2012 Sleevers. It is a secret group, so nobody can see the group, nobody can see who is in it, nobody can see our posts! Would love to see you all there! Just friend me on facebook (Sharon Ivanauskas) & then I will add you to the group!
  7. Another plug for our secret May 2012 Sleevers facebook group!!! It is secret, so nobody can see the group, who is in it, or the posts. Just send me a friend request on facebook (Sharon Ivanauskas) & then I will add you to the group!
  8. Good luck to you too!
  9. I left a couple of answers blank if I could not answer them. I just tried to answer as many as I could.
  10. Good luck Sam, you will do great!
  11. The surgeons in the operating room all definitely had gloves & masks on. The nurses that came in to see me to give me my 'shots' in my IV just had gloves on, no masks.
  12. So excited for you Crystal, you will do fantastic! But update when you can!
  13. reese, just try to relax, you will have a brilliant time there. They will look after you well. Do you have gas-x strips? I didn't need them, but that is good to take with you. You will have a great time though. Are you going alone or taking someone with you?
  14. Aaaw that is great to hear sherlee! I miss the team! I did have such an easy time & the team were so great to me. Good luck to you Sherlee, I am sure you will do fine, but will say a little prayer for you. Look forward to seeing your update!
  15. A lot of people find they can't eat bread post-op & veggies should be fine, as long as you chew them & they aren't too fibrous. I am surprised you are eating so much already though! I was sleeved on May 10th by Dr Kelly & still on liquid diet with Protein shakes. No Soups or bread for me yet! If you feel you need to take a step back & go back to liquids then do that for a couple of days, then try the soups again.
  16. My surgery with Dr Kelly is now over & went so smoothly! No gas pain at all after surgery!!! Just some minimal nausea the first 24 hours. Dr Kelly & his team were fantastic, making me feel a part of the family. They took me out to eat several times, to the beach, to shopping. It was great. You can read all about it on my blog here: http://njsharonjourney.blogspot.com/ Oh & Dr Kelly, for me, just told me to eat healthy for 2 weeks prior, then liquid diet for 3 days pre-op. That wasn't too bad... chicken broth, yoghurt, pureed veggies even! Any questions about Dr Kelly you can just reply to here or PM me & happy to answer them! I love Dr Kelly!!!
  17. No, that is not the right place for Dr Kelly!! He is no longer with 'A Lighter Me'. If you want to e-mail Dr Kelly you need to e-mail to wls-clinic@hotmail.com. Or call them at 619-395-5347.
  18. Do a search on priceline, that is who I booked my flights through. I see a flight, round trip, for those dates for $279.70. It does have 1 stop in Atlanta, but that is doable. Oh & it is with Delta airlines. When I booked on priceline I paid the extra $16 insurance, in case I had to move my flight times for coming back. Just in case I had to stay in hospital longer than first though due to complications.
  19. Yep, it will get better quickly. I had the nausea the first 24 hours, then it subsided. Hope yours goes away quickly too. Glad to hear you made it through & thanks for updating. Try to enjoy your time there in Mexico!
  20. Woohoo! Good luck, you will do great & see you on the other side (shuffling to make way on the losers bench for you!)!!
  21. Where are you trying to fly to? What city in TN are you flying from? I will look around for you.
  22. I am doing great, thank you! Just started on Protein drinks 2 days ago, so that has been my little bit of excitement! Incisions are healing super well. So all is good!
  23. I love the Unjury chicken soup! But yes, it is high in sodium, so just drink it in moderation. Haven't tried the cheese flavor sauce stuff yet though.
  24. No they don't shave you before surgery!
  25. Yep, you are completely naked when you go in... no bra, no underwear. I think if you have your monthly visitor then people said to ask them & they may give you paper underwear, or maybe a tampon is okay?
